Increase Traffic to Your items by using social media

You will increase the traffic to your auctions if you send your auctions to Twitter, and Pinterest.

I seen a hugh increase in views by linking to on line social media sites.

Just a thought to help increase traffic and lookers, perhaps they will become buyers.

Think it all helps I know Somer puts it on facebook & twitter. Yes everytime it goes on facebook it gives ebid a plug.

I wish someone would explain how they can be used. I use my blogs eg. http://tinplatetoys.blogspot.co.uk/p...plate-toy.html to bring in traffic but Pinterest seems like a dead loss eg. http://pinterest.com/kdockerill/ . No one seems to look and the search engine seems to be very slow to update. Facebook, how would you use that?

I used to get a lot more interest via Flikr!

I regularly use Twitter to tweet my listings, (all you have to do is set up a Twitter account and then click the Twitter button in individual listings to tweet). We used to have a weekly eBid hour on Tuesdays, (where all members could tweet their items for sale), not sure if that's still going on or not.

Sorry, perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I didn't mean how do you do it, I know that already. I meant how can it be made to work in terms of peoples behaviour? How does it bring people to look at my auction? If you asked me how it worked with the blog I could tell you, pretty much, how people arrived at the auction and why.

Not being particularly tech savvy I couldn't tell you how it works, though I can say that whenever I tweet an item that item's views go up considerably within a short period of time which I attribute, rightly or wrongly, to the tweet. Whether this leads to sales or not I'm not sure as most of my sales have been to new buyers and I'm not sure whether they came in through Twitter or Google or wherever. Perhaps this would be something for a techie sort to research?
