Trojan Removal Software Help Needed.

Hello eBidders,

I need some help please, a friend of mine has a laptop that has been infected with over 3000 virusis, trojans etc.

I have managed to clear the majority of them but struggling in one area, if you put in a 'clean' SD card into the laptop it triggers of about 20 trojans that put themselves on to the card.

I have tried numerous programmes to no avail, can you kind eBidders recommend any?

For general removal malwarebytes seems to get rid of most of them.

You might need to search for trojan specific removal tools, so make a note of their names,
& do an online search for removal instructions for each one, but don't forget to research any malware/trojan removal program (preferably from another clean pc). Then download it to the infected one, many of the so called spyware/virus removal tools are in fact viruses themselves.

Make sure you delete them while in safe mode,it doesn't work properly otherwise.

If you still have problems join computerhope where someone will talk you through the process with hijackthis.

With that many infections there are bound to be lots of damaged or over-written system files. It would be far better just to format the drive and start from scratch.

lots of fake Java and Adobe updates about at the moment.I had something on my computer and AVG,CC.Malwarebites,Superantispyware,Adaware or Advast(forgive spelling)did not find anything.(did not have on computer all at the same time).But Kaspersky Pure found and distroyed some nasty open door trojans.A lot are from Russia and my IT friend says that a lot of Russian sites have popped up offering free anti-virus programs when in fact they are downloading a virus.So be carefull.

I've found the Malwarebytes program to be very good.

But as for your friends particular problem, I have no idea.

You may need to Google your problem or join a dedicated ant-virus forum there is one called Castle something.

I see Malwarebytes has been mentioned, that is excellent and I use it regularly. For a free one-off scan, go to this link http://live.sunbeltsoftware.com/ and follow the instructions. This progam is basically a scan once and forget it, so if you want to use it again you will need to download it again. In otherwords it does not reside on your computer like a normal virus checker. I use the company's main program Vipre (not cheap, but good) all of the time.
The downloaded program runs a deep scan from within dos and can take several hours to run, best do it overnight. I always use it on customers computers if they are having problems.
