Help with Bulk Edit, please

I need to delete something from the description of several auctions.
I can see the 'replace' option in the bulk edit, but can't quite work out how to do this as I don't want to replace the text with anything.
Help, please.

I got this to work (sort of)

I opened one of the listings to edit mode, and copied the text I wanted to delete from there. When I copied it directly from the listing displayed on the screen, it didn't work. I think it picked up some formatting characters.

I didn't put anything in the second box.

Submitted, and it replaced my text with one blank line.

I tried that, but it didn't work. But I will have another attempt.

Also may be worthwhile trying to delete a few words at a time, and replace them with the blank.

Have tried one line and that hasn't worked.
It will take me a month of Sundays if I have to do a few words at a time.

Oh well, guess I should have added to the description of just one instead of 58 and finding it wasn't as I wanted

Could always export them and put them into ninja lister

If you gave an example listing id and what it was you wanted to get rid of then people might be better able to advise of the best means to do so.
