Thread: My first neg feedback :(

  1. #1

Default My first neg feedback :(

After five years of selling on Amazon and ebay and not much less time on here; along with a bit on Play and Green Met I have just received my first neg as a seller.

No point to the post, just a moan.

Looks like it was uncalled for so far..................good grief! I mail things back and forth with my girls to the states. Mailed some things to them before Christmas and they haven't arrived yet!! Sometimes it takes 7 days - sometime 2 weeks or more. Go figure. Maybe it will arrive and they will adjust their feedback accordingly. I hope so......and some days it helps to moan. 5 years is a good record, and you should be deservedly proud of good customer service.
    Ta-Ta for now!

I would write them a polite email saying that if the parcel hasn't turned up in the next week then to let you know and you will refund them. Then you will be in the position to ask if they would be willing to change the feedback.
If you have proof of posting and a refund has been given and they don't change it then you can request that eBid support review the matter.

If you have a copy of postage receipt send buyer a copy of it.

They have only allowed ten working days for the delivery which is often not enough. Seems rather unfair indeed!

Thanks for your kind words of support.

I do not feel this customer is a good one. I fear he is setting me up for a charge back or Paypal claim. I really dont care about the neg's. Anyone who wants to buy from me on here will be able to see that I am a good seller. Two negs out of so many positives do not add up to a hill of beans in this crazy world.

I have sent the guy an email but all I could be bothered to say was: 'Its only been 10 business days since I posted this to the USA.'

What is the point in saying anything more? I'm not going to beg for feedback removal. Especially from someone who gives such a short time for delivery (items were paid for on 30th Dec, items posted on 31st). And who does not even contact the seller first.

Ah well, maybe he will actually email me and not be a bad person. I am fearing the worse however. I really dont want to loose the £50 for the items and the postage on top, it will hurt a bit atm.

You could also mention that due to the Bank Holidays and adverse weather conditions during December and the back log of delayed post, their item may be delayed longer than 10 business days. Something along the lines of this type of email/letter to your buyer.

    Dear (buyers name)

Thank you for your purchase of (enter item purchased here) on 30th December 2010, I can confirm this item was posted out to you on 31st December 2010, please bear in mind that 31st December was a bank holiday which also included dates 1st, 2nd and 3rd January 2011, Please bear in mind that during December the UK had some adverse weather conditions, which affected deliveries in and out of the UK, therefore your purchase may have been delayed due to the back log of post that the UK Royal Mail are having to deal with. I would be grateful if you could consider this and maybe alter the feedback once you have received your item.

The delays caused by the Adverse Weather conditions are beyond my control and I can not guarantee that the postal system will deliver your item first before they clear the backlog, If however you have not received your item by the end of January, please feel free to contact me and I will offer a full refund.

I also notice that you promptly left me negative feedback on 15th January, The UK Post would have been picked up on the 4th January and due to the backlog of post would probably not have even left the UK until probably 10th January, taking into consideration the delivery times and going through customs the items probably would not even have arrived in the USA until Friday 14th January.

    Yours sincerely

There IS a point to this post. It's isn't moaning. It gives the rest of us a chance to note the names of unreasonable buyers.

I think you are right, I have had my first neutral, because a thimble rack had a small blemish, they say they also had to clean it.
Well i polished it before posting, and the blemish can clearly be seen on the photo, and that they are my old racks, and listed as Used. he agreed that yes you could see it, and had not looked at the larger photo only the small. removed comments, but left neutral still there. very upset about this after all these years.
but had sent a message to the lovely staff, hoping they can remove it.
