Now you're making Me hungry! And I've got some lovely veggie ones in the freezer.

Brown bread, cream cheese and walnuts.
Feta cheese and chopped olives mashed with a little milk.

    'Mum's Mock crab' (wartime recipe):-

Grated cheese, grated tomato, small spash vinegar, small pinch english mustard powder, mash up with a splash of milk, season with salt & pepper to taste.

    Avocado is a good alternative.

Avocado and beef is my favourite, but avocado and cheddar is good too.

I can honestly say I've never grated a tomato! Might have to be tried...

Of course, another way to ring the changes is to use different breads. My increasingly famous seedy wholemeal with honey is proving as we speak... yum!

Allinson's pumpkin and sunflower seed bread is on special offer at Morrisons (£1). I love it and stick loads of it in the freezer whenever special offers come round.

Egg with mayo and cress - but does pong a bit when the box is opened! I love brie with cranberry sauce, redcurrant jelly or mango chutney as already mentioned but brie with grapes is nice too!

I like Thick 'cutty' white bread with gorgonzola and sliced gherkins - but I'm not allowed to eat bread any more!

At present my preference is for German rye bread with butter, smoked cheese, and a little piccalilli 'juice' ! LOL
