Thread: Be creative and Make a Video

  1. #1

Thumbs up Be creative and Make a Video

If you are a Newbie ( and even not so new) Here is a reminder of one way to drive buyers to your stores and to eBid in general.

Make and post a video on Youtube. I have just uploaded my latest one.
It does take time but is fun to do. I use window's movie maker it is really easy once you get the hang of it.
Once you have made your movie you can also post it all over the web!! Like Facebook and other social websites and chat rooms.

I have posted this also in the Kitchen Table.
I have posted the link to the video in the "Plug your Auction" section as here is not the place to plug yer auctions.....If you know what I mean!!
Go On the more the merrier and it's good for us all!!!

I've had a handful of sales from people viewing my video on Youtube and Facebook. It's a good way to promote your items. Unfortunately I've not had time to make anymore but will do soon.

Nor did I when I first had a go.
    Self taught here.....
If you have windows Movie maker in your PC then step one is open it.....

2 Follow the directions.. use the help provided.
3 Down load some pictures.... It says.. down load pictures . You make a collection of them . They can be any subject from your PC
Put the pictures on the story board.
4 Play about with putting in transitions... you will learn about those.. they are what makes your pictures open and close in different ways.
    5. Play about with the time line. make your little movie longer or shorter.
6 Just have a bit of fun.

It really is as simple as that to start off.
    Go On... have a Go!!!

If anyone else knows of any good simple movie making programs why not pop them on here?
or any other software you have found useful in your selling experiences on line.

It certainly sounds easy enough. I expect the PC has something like that, but it's still new and I haven't found everything yet

I use windows photostory 3 for the stuff I add to my listings.

Just adds another element to viewing the images and is so easy to use there is no reason not to. I think it offers a better option than movie maker, due to the zoom and pan options. But try both they are simple to use and free advertising, as said above.

Finding the right place to put them on youtube is another matter, still have not found the best place or the best keywords I think that takes longer than making the videos, as you will see if you look at them.

I've just done a video, what do you think?

I would be careful using copyrighted music when you are linking to your sales, as they are getting a bit feisty over it and you would struggle to claim for educational purposes.

Search for royalty free music on google and save yourself a headache.

    But good effort

    Its a great idea
But making the video would be the easy part (imho) even though I would not where to start.
Getting people to watch or even see your video will be the hard part.

Have you seen our Air New Zealands new adverts on you tube by the character called Rico.
They will crack you up, but you had better be 18 before you watch them.
