Thread: Google Checkout Error?

    Default Google Checkout Error?

    I'm trying to pay for something via Google Checkout, and I'm getting an Error Message:

    Google Checkout Problem : Error 401



    Google have notified us that there is a problem with the Google Checkout account settings that the seller has added to their My Personal Details page at eBid. We are currently unable to continue with this sale until the seller corrects their details.
    The seller has just been emailed about this problem, feel free to contact them yourselves via the After Auction Log dropdown menu.

    Original Google Error Message
    401: 401 Unauthorized Bad username and/or password for API Access.


    The seller informs me that all their details are correct and other people have used it without problem. Any ideas what's going wrong?

    It sounds like the callback url is wrong?

    Does that stop a payment going through, or just stop notification being set? Hazel, have you double-checked payment hasn't been made, rather just not fully updated? Oh, and nice to see you again.

    It's not the same error I got when the callback URL was wrong, and the seller says others are having no similar problems.

    No I haven't, that's a bit alarming, I assumed it hadn't gone through because the error said it hadn't. I hope not, this could get rather expensive. Thanks for the welcome .

    Edited to add: Just checked my account, there are no payments gone out, which is a bit of a relief. So, I wonder what that error is all about?

    This message occurs when the seller has added incorrect Google Checkout credentials to their eBid account.
