    Default Cancel Order Option???

    Hi all
Hope this post isn't a repeat.....

    So, it's happened again.
Someone bought, then changed their mind and wants to cancel the order.
If they contact me and let me know, I don't mind. No problem.

But invoice, 2 reminders, and non-paying bidder is a bit long.
(I usually contact support to get it done quicker.)

Does anyone else think "cancel - buyer changed mind" would be
a good option in the AAL? Then the item reposts and no FVF taken.

    Just wondering..........

Even though I've never needed it, it sounds like a useful option to me. Things like it have been discussed from time to time, and I can't recall anyone arguing against it. Just needs to be an "undo" in effect.

I think for business sellers it would be a nice feature as due to DSRs they have to give the bidder/buyer a "cooling-off period" (in the UK at least):

Providing individual sellers still had the old NPB route to use I can't see a problem with this additional feature request

Seems like a good idea, for the seven days cooling off period.
    And is then removed.

Hi all and thanks for replies

1 I don't know what DSRs are, educate me please.

2 They bought today and with in an hour changed their mind.

It's happend a few times. When the bidder tells me I don't mind.
If they bid and don't respond I go thru the invoice, remind, neg feedback route.

    ???
Didn't send anything. Got msg requesting me to cancel (before I even noticed the item marked as sold) and get this "blacklist them"

Thing that gets me is why would a buyer purchase an item then decide an hour later they didn't want it. So why click on buy now if they don't want it?

I also think its a good idea but with one proviso.... and that is that there should be a time limit placed on it... otherwise they could cancel it at a much later date to stop any NPB being filed against them or it should/must be set up so ONLY the seller can OK it....

Also to play Devils Advocate for a moment........

it does state in the T&C's of the site that once a sale takes place both parties have entered into a legally binding contract.... therfore the seller does have the legal right to force the buyer to proceed with the said sale (Especially if the seller is an Individual not a business and therefore not covered by the DSR's).... therefore a "cancel sale" option goes against the sites T&C's
