And now I have just sold another large item which has just about covered double my seller+ joining fee so I am very pleased!!

I would guess as this was a painting by a listed 19th Century artist, but not a well known one, and it was bought by a member of his family who were not ebidders before yesterday, that they probably found it by googling. Good old Google! Google really is our friend here bringing in new ebidders.

Glad to see you all making sales. I too have a bid on one of my item listed, we'll see how things go from here. I don't have many listings yet at this time only 50 something. I hope to pump that up in the next week or so and hopefully it will make a difference.

    Music.
Plato says when the music of a society changes, the whole society will
    change.
Aristotle, a contemporary of Plato's, says when music changes there should be laws to govern the nature and the character of that music.
Lenin says that the best and the quickest way to undermine any society is through its music!

We've been here a little over a month and a half and just sold our second item. In these two low dollar items we have saved $1.68 in fees over what we would have paid on Feebay. I consider this as money going towards the lifetime membership we bought. We still have less than a hundred items listed and if we had more, I am sure we would sell more. Will you make a living on here? At the present time I would say probably not. But can you sell stuff on here? Yes you can if you work at it.

Becca, I looked at your auctions and you only have 8 auctions running here. From what I understand most sales come from google search. Your 8 auctions and even my 75 auctions will naturaly get lost in google. Hang in there.

Of course you aren't selling anything, you have not taken the advice given on these forums. For starters, there is nothing on your About Me page, your shipping prices seem really high, and your auctions do not have a Buy Now price so they are not being uploaded to Google. Having your items uploaded to Google is very important.

Oh well. Guess they crawled back to eb*y.

Three weeks is hardly enough time to test any alternative site out there simply because none of them generate the same traffic that eb*y does. It also isn't fair to compare any of them to eb*y either.

Once I listed some items it took only about a week or so to make my first sale and it ended up snowballing into several others fairly quickly. I took the advice from many here and it worked out.

I think that ebid should charge a little more. If this was the case, ebid could afford to advertise.
