    Thank you folks.

I was told last night by my daughter, who did the challenge walk last year (in Holmfirth), that after everyone has sent in their sponsor forms and all the money has been collected he NSPCC send out a thank you letter to everyone who took part in the walk. She said it can be a few months after the walk but the letter also tells you exactly how many people took part, and how many finished, along with bits of other information. It will be very interesting (to me) to see those figures.

I think there was over 500 people doing the walk and I think that well over 100 couldn't finish it. I hope they tell us how much was raised between us all too because I know that one team of walkers had raised over £8000 between them so I'm guessing that the final total of all the walkers will be very impressive.

If I get such a letter I will pop a post on eBid, I'm sure other folk are interested in what these sort of events manage to raise.

    I didn't have a single blister Ken.

The only ache and pain I had was my right hip from when I fell down the chuffin mountain. lol. Apart from that I was a 100%, I didn't even suffer the day after which really shocked me.

I guess I'm fitter than I give myself credit for. lol

    Thanks lass.

I could have done with you coming round with me, it would have made it a bit easier at times with someone to talk to and take my mind off it. lol

The scenery is stunning, the village is gorgeous, and the folk are very friendly. I've fallen in love with the place and since it's less than a 2 hour drive from here I will definitely be going back.

I'm going to get one of the photos enlarged and have it framed with the certificate underneath it just to remind me of the day, and to remind me that even a big dopey bugga like me can do things if they really put their everything into it.

Early on, i was impressed with your organized approach to getting ready for the day of the walk, and your fundraising. Now that i've seen the photos, i am surprised at the bumpiness of the path. Naively i was envisioning a nice flat, paved walkway the entire route. No wonder people fell. Might be tempted to call it a 35 mile walk, considering it's "mountain miles".
