Thread: Green garden project

  1. #1

    Default Green garden project

Hello everyone. Working on a new blog. I'm going to post "Mr Green thumb's" progress with his garden. One man's attempt to grow food in northern B.C. Canada. I'll add pics as the produce starts to grow. Tips and comments will be appreciated. I'll post a link when it's published. Here is a pic of started ground work and one of "Ringo" for the dog lovers.

I salute you, Canuckbid. Looks like a well tilled, BIG garden. May the pests and weeds be vanquished.

    Oooo, Ringo is a cutie!

How long is your growing season up there? You'll probably need a very green thumb to bring things along in a short time. I have more of a black thumb but the soil here is so fertile that eventually the plants sort of get bored with failing miserably, then perk up despite my best efforts at "helping" them.

    What will you plant?

My last pet got ran over and I'ld rather not talk about it. Ringo is my friend's dog. He has blue eyes also. Very friendly. No guard dog but he's nice to have around. I asked him to pose and that's what he gave me. I help "Mr Greenthumb" a little, but it's his project. You'll be amazed how much he can grow. I'll post pics with progress. Thanks for the replies.

Pearly, there is potatoes,(2 kinds) squash, carrots, onions, peas, beets, and I got my way to have a Charlie brown pumpkin patch. My reward for helping. Tomatoes various flowers in the greenhouse. I don't call him Mr Green thumb for nothing. His kids are not interested though. Shame.
