Isn't there a danger that it's just going to end up as a stack of paper, and be a bit "half-baked" (sorry, couldn't resist that one!) - if it's a proper finished article, even if it's just stapled or comb-binding (either of which I think would be fine) it's much more saleable. It would be nice to aim for selling the final result to more than just the usual suspects, wouldn't it?
There must be someone on here who knows about getting things published on the cheap.
It need to look semi professional, just for the pictures in the papers.
Oh and if you need anyone to model the book, just let me know~
Wasn't there talk of putting things together with a ribbon?
You are probably right.
as a very intrested party can I put mt 2p's worth in on a few of the posts....
A5 paper costs about the same as A4 paper (so you would get twice as much with A4) but it is not easy to cut A4 down to exactly A5 (trust me I have tried)
I agree that a card or a laminated cover would be better (and cheaper to post)
bykimbo, would it not be better to try the ribbon version first and see if there is a market for it rather than comb-binding, which is expensive to have done professionally & time consuming to do it yourself. If it does take off then and only then should "we" look to improving presentation etc
Out of my element here, so just ignore if I'm way off base. Here in the States we have these folders (binders?) that people use to present papers in college that are plastic with a clear pocket on the cover into which you can place a photo or graphics page. The inside pages have to be hole punched and are held by small brass rivets? (for lack of a better word). Would this work or am I out in left field? Just a thought.
Love to all
