Over here in the UK, we dont get such hurricanes (am happy to say), so have no way of knowing what is heading your way.

I just hope that someone ''up there'' is looking after you all.

It's not just the initial danger that is heartbreaking and scary but the havoc and disruption caused to the family and home.

You gotta have been in one to appreciate the ferocity of these monsters.

Good luck if you're in the path. What we're hearing here is that it won't hit New Orleans directly. Personally, I wouldn't want to take the chance after last time! At least your government has learnt from it's mistakes, sort of.

It made landfall as a lower rated storm much to the disgust of our talking-head weathermen and the Democratic Party.
A clear indication of what is wrong with our 2 party system is shown here where people across the water have expressed concern for the well being of our citizens while our Liberals delighted in the idea that the hurricane would disrupt the GOP convention.
