Ideas please?

Our firm is having a "day on the river" - a party on a boat on the Thames in a few weeks.

They have decided to make it a "70s/80s" event and want everyone to dress accordingly!

I have no idea what to wear, no funds to speak of to buy anything and am looking for the SIMPLEST idea of what I can wear for this.

Any ideas?

Lace Gloves
and lots and lots and lots of hairspray

(sigh!! can you tell I was an 80s teenager)

ohh and peacock eyes ( loads of different coloured eyeshadow finished off with blue eyeliner)

Gosh - I'd look like a bag of rainbow sherbert in that lot!

Colourful make up is something that just makes me look awful!

Will have to search out the charity shops!
