Wink Hello - Newbie alert, trying to find my way about

    Evening.

I have just joined after getting a little disillusioned with 'that other one'. So I have set up my shop, got some listings up and running, and just having a general nose about.

Can anyone tell me the main differences between Ebid and Ebay - from what I have seen after my very quick look Ebid is smaller, the forums are politer and there are a lot less rules, reporting each other etc etc.

Any major pitfalls I should be aware of before I fall afoul?

    Happy Easter

Hello Windy, welcome to ebid. Still a newbie myself.
As you said the site is much smaller and sales are slower, but then we don't pay a fortune in fees.
The forums are really nice; if you are stuck with anything just ask, you will soon get an answer here without being torn to pieces!
    Happy Easter to you too.

    Thanks for the welcome.

Lower fees is a definite plus - will have to get the word out about Ebid and get more people on here.

Yes there are 2 major pifalls here.

    1) ebid staff are human

    2) You have to find something to do with the extra money you have, as there are less fees to pay here which means you get more to spend.
