Thread: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!

Must be gardening week - just planted four new fuschia perennials at the bottom of the garden, cleared all the long planters out ready for replanting and added 5 geraniums, plus had a shuffle around with other bits and pieces. I need a rest now... time to start revamping one of my websites, looking a little bit scruffy

It was extremely hot and humid yesterday. During the night, we had tornado warnings. Nothing came of it but it was an eerie feeling outside.

    Still finding ticks on me.

Manage to work on my gardens a little.
    Planted some seeds.

Looking for an early start to work at the farm cutting brush down.
This is my last "easy week of work" before everyone is calling to be back on schedule.
Gas prices are getting worse, especially the better grade gas for the lawn mower and small engines.

Successfully finished my websites today, had enough time to slip onto farcebook only to find they've banned me from posting in groups for 6 days for an unspecified 'event'. They've got me on that one, I've been very good with my posts on there of late, not anything even mildly close to challenging their rules for some while now.

    @Mandart
Is the one the ballerina with a moon balloon updated.
I don't remember that picture from a week or two while I was spying on you.
I think I am about ready to start a website. (If I have time)

Another hot and humid day, but I did get 4 hours of work down at the farm.
The wind was still and I was able to burn one pile of dead grass.
Not much, but I wasn't sure how long I was going to last with the humidity.
Picking ticks off of me again. Ughhh!

I am the only one that hasn't mowed yet. Either Thursday or Friday I will see if the lawn mower starts up.

    Here's spring in my garden

    Creeping phlox, grape hyacinth, tulips

Walking through the gardens and then I see it. . . .
See it . . . . Up, front and center.
    That's right.
    A PINK TULIP.
    Where did that come from?
My tulips are yellow, red or yellow with red.
Am I getting stray flowers to take care of now?
It's bad enough when I get stray kitties that want a home.

Getting ready for work tomorrow. Now really happy that I have to fill up the truck.
Gas prices just jump up and up.

Yes, it is a revamp, in fact, both the websites have taken a revamp over the last few days and now online in their new look - I added some new graphics to make them look a little more attractive and added links from one to the other, something I'd been meaning to do for a long while but kept forgetting...

Your garden's looking good - you sure you don't want to come and do mine?

Mandart, you are right Police's garden looking good we could all do with her help,

Yesterdays weather was so mixed but certainly everything in the garden has perked up & going crazy. thought our beech tree had died as no sign of life Tuesday nut by this morning full leaf, shows what rain can do. suppose really we could do with some more, did also mean the few weeds in the back gateway could be pulled up root & all

    @Mandart and @Maplegin
I hear that a lot about doing other people's garden. (and I do have clients that I do their garden work)

Today, I have to clean a home for my polio client.
I don't how she can get around and having one leg locked in a brace so it doesn't bend.

Today, it's to get into the 90's and very humid and chances of rain.
I am not sure if I will be working on the riding lawn mower. I just pray that a quick clean up and battery charge, new fuel, that it will start right up.

I guess this weekend I will start the gardening for one of my clients before they return from Florida.

It's such an early start to gardening and planting.
I hope it isn't like a few early springs ago when there was a winter storm that came through at the end of May.

I have seen both the Baltimore and Orchard Orioles, blue birds and the indigo buntings.
There's been the skippers, cabbage butterflies and monarchs start through the gardens

    Woo Hoo!

    Somebody was watching over me.
I pulled out the rider lawn mower, checked for mice nests, charged the battery, filled with gas, checked and added oil and she started. YEAH! I got my first grass cutting in. Now I have to go down the neighbors farm and get that mowed.

I guess packing dried peppermint under the tarp for the lawn mower kept the mice out of there.

Just got to rake the lawn this morning. Try to finished cutting brush down in front of the neighbors pig barn and then mow later today when the grass is dry.

Had to go to the doctors this morning (blood test - they couldn't do that over the phone). I had a 25 minute wait as the nurse was running late - there were 3 doctors in the surgery, all the time I was there not a single patient either came in or out, nor were they making any phone calls (their doors were all open).

Made me wonder just what they were doing with their time...

Yes it does make you wonder whats happening at the Ds surgeries, suppose they are doing all the paperwork, as you say most things are done over the phone, but they can't manage the bloods on the phone,

Had a nice walk this morning with friends dog as she is still not allowed out to walk & watched the sparrows having a wonderful time having dust baths, was lovely to see.
