Can anyone help with these two questions, Thx:

1/ Is it possible to save (to ebid or HDD) listings from Ninja Lister? (That is draft listings, not ready to go "live")
Not at the moment- that is one of my top requests .. hehe would be nice to have but one solution Ive though of is set the start time to something like several months into the future and then list them - you can then export the listings from ebid and store them (entirely too kludgy, but can be done)
2/ If I export (download) my current live ebid listings....then edit them in NL, ..and then upload (good to go bucket) back to ebid. Are the ORIGINAL listing changed to the new version or DUPLICATED ?
Havent tested that yet but I do not believe so- I believe it would create duplicates (Feebay's Turbolister does too , BTW - Ive tried editing listings in TL and uploading , they simply start new auctions , duplicates of the original.. so , NL is the same way, I would imagine..)

    Wink

    Also suggestion for NL

An option to enter a direct numeric value into the ebid category id box or alternatively when you hit select on the category box it remembers your previous listed categories (or your last one) saves going through the motion every time.

I kind of think, the ability to set and save a special auction set called "templates" would work better

that way you can have multiple listings with different per-set settings and just right click and "begin listing from template" and all you have to do is set description, price, and title and you're done since all the other values are already set for you by the template..

On a side note, Gazza- prior import bug is confirmed fixed.. so all exports from TL now properly import, also bug is fixed regarding re-populating the values from the listing you are editing ..

And finally, as to the templates thing, you can sort of "hack" it by setting a listing with your pre-set settings and the right click, copy, and paste to another template set folder.. and then edit that pasted listing.. so it's a decent work-around

    Thx idealproductsales,

Nice idea about the time traveling listings ;-P I'm may try that one.

I'm currently going between TL, XLS, uploading & downloading ...all good BETA fun!

Somewhere, some forum or web site came accross a bulk uploader that the user could assign a unique SKU (stock keeping unit) number to a item, this would prevent duplication of listings & just update the "live" listing to a newer version.......

...better go check my other auction sites LOL

DO NOT EXPORT ITEMS FROM TL AS FILE EXCHANGE FORMAT(CSV FILE) BUT EXPORT AS TURBO LISTER FORMAT (CSV FILE).

    Simple.

    thanks again

Not sure if it has been mentioned somewhere, there are a lot of posts to read through, lol
Imported some listings, uploaded a couple as a test, closed the lister, later on opened it again with the listings still there but the categories had gone and had to put them in again.

Is the NL supposed to be able to import data exported from eBid?

Have tried on my exported data and get the error:

Importable data found but all auctions were not relevant to your home country.

Check you have the correct home country set in File > Settings
What is that supposed to mean? My NL setting is for UK and all listings were created and exist on the UK site.

If you create auction sets but have no listings in them, they won't come back when you close and re-open .. that's as designed.

if you DID have listings in them and closed, re-opened and they are gone, then it's a bug (It happened to me twice, and I have not been able to duplicate it ever since!.. one of those irritating "it only happens once in a blue moon" bugs.. Grr!)

Yes I did have listings in the auction set, opened the lister again and uploaded them, not noticing the category had gone and couldnt understand why the first two listings uploaded ok but not the rest.
Its the only way to get these things sorted out by trying isnt it, we will all benefit in the end

NL stores its data in a file named ninjalister.csv

On my system that is stored at:

    Code:
    C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\main.542EE8ACF7F339584A023BE012CB4512BACF448C.1\Local Store\ninjalister.csv
Clearly on other's computers it will be different but if you do a search on ninjalister.csv (including system & hidden files/folders) you should locate it and can make a copy in case it vanishes.
