Now less than 1000 items.
Over 50% of the listings have now gone, still time to look at the rest.
Over 1000 items have now lapsed but still loads left.
Still time to grab a bargain before it's too late.
After much consideration, I've decided not to list any new items in my shop and after the current listings finish I will close it.
please take a look at the items listed as they say on the...
Sometimes non-payers will be down to mistakes/misunderstandings and the inability of some people to address it sensibly when it happens, but it is a sad fact that some people get a perverse pleasure...
I'm not unreasonable, I allow 5 days for a payment to be made following a purchase (which I feel is fine for an auction bid win but strange for a 'buy it now' purchase) sending payment reminders for...
The answer is simply, if you are only 'considering' an item you add it to your 'watch' list, if you decide to purchase later on you just convert to order.. even I, as an Old Fa*t who's a bit of a...
Legally, your probably right and the cost in both money and time in addressing the problem is certainly not worth it for the value of the items I have for sale.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned but...
I don't understand the relevance of your referenced 'old saying'...how does committing to buy an item on an auction site bear any resemblance to 'taking a joke'?
I really feel that this (and other) sites should emphasise the importance of placing a bid and if the purchase is not paid for then a consequence should happen, be it as mild as a negative registered...
The last three buyers have all been NON-PAYERS!!!! Two of them bought using the 'Buy It Now' option and I have to ask why would you do that?
This site is a slow selling site at the best of times,...
I'm sure you're right in saying eBid do take action against bidders with poor payment issues. My point is that non payment is easy when buying almost anonymously through the internet - whereas not...
I sell mainly books and have loads of items listed already with additions almost daily. sales have, to be honest, been fairly poor but selling a few titles every month at least makes the relisting...
deanasaur1972, I fear we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this point! I'm sure others could say if I dropped the auction running time to 3 days some buyers may be more inclined to place...
If you look at my feedback here (and less than 50% of sales have received feedback) you see that a lot of the recent buyers are indeed new to Ebid, this initially made me think the site had finally...
I don't offer returns on either site. we will have to wait and see if recent changes over 'there' makes any difference. I would point out that from what I read on the boards over there, whatever...
Agreed but you haven't answered my question...why would you need/want to return a book?
No returns policy. 99% of my auctions are for books.. why would anyone return a book? If there was a quality issue I would of course reimburse the buyer but what other reason would a book need to be...
I appreciate your experience with selling successfully on Ebid, and goodness knows how long it must've taken you to list nearly 22,000 items but am I right is saying we're in 2 completely different ...
Sorry I don't agree with your conclusion. Ebid IS an auction site with an OPTION to B.I.N. As A buyer if you want to be able to buy something sooner rather than later without using the B.I.N. option...
Mmm. I prefer (and always have) the auction facility, I only offer a B.I.N., price because it's there. if people don't want to wait until the auctions finished them I'm sorry but perhaps auction...
Thanks, the items I'm listing on *bay, I'm also listing here at cheaper prices with lower P & P charges (as soon as the item sells I delete from whichever site it's still listed on) The books I'm...
Thanks for your response, I agree wholeheartedly with your statement about *bays self-inflicted decline. They seem to think the best way to put out a fire is to pour more petrol on IT!! the fact...
Well I'm approaching 3000 items listed and sales are still very, very slow. To see if Ebay was still worth using, I've been using the 20 free listings and as they seem to be getting a little...
Sorry.. I give up I AM already logged in and I can't follow.. I'll just leave it I think as I can feel the red anger rising and I feel like throwing the darn thing THROUGH THE...
Thanks but 'toolbox' and 'paste...you might as well be speaking Chinese...'
Got as far as the 'ebid store link' but couldn't find 'settings' under any green banner?
I've managed to get the picture up but not a connection to the store, any advice please?
I'll give it a try. thanks...
