hi Book sellers , am I wrong to think it seems silly to list a book at 50 pence then ask for £2 or what ever ... as postage is a lot higher than the price of the book....some books are really heavy but do potential buyers think of this ???
sorry if this is in the wrong place....Papa.
I would suggest you chek out the prices of packet post, that is about what it cost to send things now.
Would be useful for anything? Especially anything heavy. And the cost of posting a book these days can be outrageous.
Has there been any discussion of postcode/distance searches on the site? I realise this can be expensive, buying lists of postcodes, but there are free open source efforts that might be relevant. I've no special knowledge, but the guys at openstreetmap.org could probably point Gazza/Mark the right direction.

"If you're a gold or platinum member, open a shop.
First is free for Gold, up to 5 free for platinum"
How does one determine gold or platinum? I paid for 90 days and opened a shop, thinking it was covered. Am I missing something?
