Add eBid search to your Browser
eBid member jimbo750 has created a great add on to the search-box that is built into in your browser. IT works with both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
View the thread below to add eBid to your browser search to enable you to search eBid first whenever you are looking to buy.

eBid Search on my Web Page
Hi
I have added the code for the ebid search box on my homepage http://www.kingfisherbeads.co.uk
but it is showing the following message
Error parsing module spec:
Not a properly formatted file
missing xml header
When I first added the code to my page it was fine.
Do you know what might be causing this?
Can we not add stores to site searches?
Hi Jimbo, I have a free search on my main website and tried to incorporate my eBid stores into it so that anyone searching could see exactly where to look. However, the following is what has been returned to me...
starting pointurl excluded http://uk.ebid.net/stores/Cyberdosh robots.txt exclude
starting pointurl excluded http://uk.ebid.net/stores/Gift-Gallery robots.txt exclude
starting pointurl excluded http://uk.ebid.net/stores/Cyberdosh-Fundraising-Store robots.txt exclude
starting pointurl excluded http://uk.ebid.net/stores/PoundTime robots.txt exclude
starting pointurl excluded http://uk.ebid.net/stores/Wigtown-Book-Town robots.txt exclude
Does the above mean that it is impossible to include our own stores in our own site searches or am I doing something wrong? Just thought it would be another source of free promotion :)
Newbie From the dark side
Feebay is getting to greedy join the revolution and jump to eBid
started my bit just put eBid add on front page of web..
I am always unfinished with linking & buttons etc..
All these wonderful tools to use and I simply dont get it or understand how to make them work on my websites, stores, auctions etc.
I wish they were automatic~
I never could drive a stick shift!
I cut , I paste, I edit in my name or user id and then IF* I find the right link to put them on, I still fail!
Very frustrating to say the least as I keep trying but seem to be spinning my wheels and have many auctions, not only here but elsewhere that I can never get the promo link things to work right...I think that may be why my auctions have such low viewings and get lost in the shuffle of things.
Is there any easy way to get the buttons where they belong and working?
Thanks~

Re: Add eBid search to your Browser
Sounds great. Do you pass this on to your friends?
