Well you must be on the eBid board - it says so on the site.
Re: Ebid and advertising.
Hi everyone we all know...
Buyers - go back to Ebay because thats what they understand, thats where the bargains are and more variety is found.
Sellers - stay at Ebay because thats where the most sales and proffits are made, inspite of the excessive fees.....we all want to be where the proffits are yes.
Maybe Ebid should confir with every seller here on Ebid to all contribute somehow to advertising, to promote the site, to get more people to know about it.
To advertise is newspapers, magazines to start and maybe eventually TV....Ebid are not going to pay so maybe we all should do something?
I myself would contribute to advertising if it ment we got more business from it...I am very sure many other sellers here would too...
What do others think?? Would you contribute??

No
And some members of the third largest site on the PSU chart ran an advertising thread for a month aimed at running their own ads.
Everyone said they would donate.
The raised the princely sum of $1,000 enough to run a few small ads in one US local newspaper. Which they did. And then a few weeks later the management changed the name of the site!
I am going back to read those links about what they boys said in 2007.;
I have been here for over a year and have never seen anything from the owners about their goals and plans, except that at the start of this year they said they have some exciting plans.
It would be good if they would communicate a bit to us, but perhaps they want to keep it quite.

So how do you prioritise?
Australia because their economy is recovering fastest?
UK, because that still has the largest userbase & is more established?
USA, because it potentially has more customers?
Pick any one, & members from other Countries would feel they, & their needs are being sidelined.
So you're not talking about newspaper, magazine, radio, tv adverts in one country, you're talking about them in at least eBid's 21 member Countries.
The budget required for that, would be enormous & would probably require price hikes, that would shadow any made by eBay in the last few years.
That is the best presenetation of the anti-advert argument I have seen.
I am gong to cut and paste into my computer
And remember that ebay has a few lazy BILLION dollars in the bank somewhere, so they could bury any ads anyone else started.
