as in how do i get my store code?
Re-asking the following. Would really appreciate any help!
Hi all,
Just a quick question: does anyone know why NL is reformatting all my HTML? It's all fine in TL and I've exported all the TL files as instructed, but in the NL preview window some of my .png images are off to the left instead of being in the centre and all my text has turned from grey to black (on a black background no less!). I'm now having to manually copy/paste all my HTML from TL over into NL, which is a bit of bind. Plus none of the start prices imported and I'm having to manually change all the catagories (which I kind of expected I'd have to do anyway.). Just makes the whole import feature a bit redundant, for me anyway!
Is there a workaround for this at all?
Cheers,
Fenris.
In an attempt to save some grey hairs I tried this program. Utterly useless. Keep getting this error: "Incorrect ebay header fields" despite having made sure the right boxes were checked and in the order specified by the program.
So it looks like I'm going to have to manually transfer all 203 listings. *Sigh*
Thnks for sending us your datafile. Your 99% decode problem is fixed in the new version we'll be releasing shortly, here it is if you wish to try it now in Beta .. http://www.ebid.net/spreadsheet/ninjalister_0.99.36.air .. We've added column sorting on a few columns when in grid view and also disabled some characters when entering eBid Store category IDs, only the colon will work.
I haven't tried but I don't see it being a problem as, when I copy/paste into NL it's perfectly formatted, it's only when I import from the TL .CSV file that the formatting goes for a burton.
I'm about a third of the way through doing it manually now. Very slow going!
I use an IMac with a Power PC PRocessor and OS X 10.5.8, all pretty much up to date. Most software vendors support this hardware and software configuration. However, when I attepted to download the Ninjalister app, I was instructed to first download Adobe Air. I did, but it won't install. I contacted them to investigate and verified that Adobe doesn't support Air installation on MAcs with Power PC chips, only Intel is supported. So, does anyone know another download assistant that can fool Ninjalister into installing? Or do I have to Tweet to the Mac User Community about this situation which in effect, is retraining my ability to trade?
Hello. My auctions that I upload onto eBid from Ninja Lister keeps failing to load. It keeps telling me to correct the security details stored within the Settings area of Ninja Lister. I changed it 4 times and my Good to Go items are still not able load onto eBid. Is there any way I can fix this?? If so, please let me know asap. Thank you and have a great day.
This may have been answered, but I cannot find it.
In ninja lister, can I schedule my listing to start - say tomorrow at 3PM with 5 minutes apart - in mass (with going into each listing).
Also, is there a mass edit in ninja lister.
Thanks
Is anybody actually using this "program" for real?
I came back to Ebid thinking that, 6 months after launch of the beta, Ninja Lister would be up and working.
At first glance it seems that it is. But then,
1 - International Postage doesn't work, unless you want to charge the same to every country. Had to use *Bay's Turbo Lister to set up postage then export and import to Ninja Lister - how ironic!
2 - My first batch of 10 auctions uploaded but I didn't have links to my shop so I deleted the auctions and tried to load them again. Found that, after closing Ninja Lister and re-opening it, the data had completely changed. Folders had disappeared, others had emptied, chaos.
3 - Set up my auctions again, this time I created a backup before uploading them.
4 - The uploads never arrived - I guess they just disappeared into eSpace.
5 - Uploaded again, and again the upload has disappeared without trace.
6. Again, the data files had changed when I loaded Ninja Lister - listings moved from folder to folder, some disappeared completely - a total mess.
6 - Thought i was OK this time because I had a backup to restore - but no, the restored data is completely different to the data that was backed up. Looks like, instead of restoring the data, it has merged it with what was already there
Usually, when I find a software bug, I try to describe in detail what I was doing and what happened. With all the bugs here it would take me a week.
Am I asking too much here by expecting this program to work? If it's in this state after 6 months of beta testing, how long is it going to be before it is in a state fit for use?
Sorry if this offends but it's nearly 2 in the morning and I've just wasted many hours of my time and, perhaps, need to completely re-think my plans for using Ebid.
Further to my earlier post, and at the start of a fresh day, things don't look so bad. My missing Ninja Lister batches did eventually get processed and I seem to have found a way of working around the problems. Managed to create and upload another batch quite quickly and easily. Not perfect but it can do the job and that's all I need.
Just like to add that, thanks to Ebid Technical Support, the international postage problem is solved. Used correctly it works though, until I was shown, it wasn't obvious to me how it works.
I wonder if How to copy international shipping in Ninja Lister on http://uk.ebid.net/htv_selling.php might help?
Without watching... is it gulls by any chance? It usually is! :-)
I would think so - if they keep changing stuff the help does need to be kept up-to-date. I'll have to find out! Mind you, I've a (mental) list a mile long of the things that still need to be done... I must buy a round tuit.Quote:
BTW that screen has changed since you made it. Maybe another payment if you re-do it?
A couple of NL users have had their uploaded auctions disappear into thin air. Here's an updated Alpha version to download that should fix the problem.
http://www.ebid.net/spreadsheet/ninjalister_0.99.40.air
As ever, make a backup of your data before upgrading.
There's a fix to the Category Checker when offline bug and a few more fixes and add ons.
Thx for all the bug reports we get on this. We are working on the memory hogging side of things as well at the moment.
We have a couple of more additions to make before making it an official update.

Another ALPHA version available for anyone wishing to use it
http://www.ebid.net/spreadsheet/ninjalister_0.99.41.air
Options to Save current auction & List Similar/List New. Fixed couple of other bugs.
A fix to remove eBay`s Turbo lister link on the bottom of imported listing would be helpful....
We've found a problem when upgrading from 99.37 ..
It will occur when we change the current version to 99.41 soon. You will find that when the update checker tells you there is a new version you will click Update and then the Backup? question occurs. When you choose no and go to install the new version you will find there has been a loss of your data. This has been fixed for later versions but will occur this time.
Solution 1 : Upgrade to 99.41 now using this link above before we make this version official and trigger the version checker.
Solution 2 : Wait until we make 99.41 official and make a backup of your data before upgrading and restore after upgrading if you find your data missing.

Have just tried to use Ninja Lister and I think I have sussed it, but I can't create any auctions because my Categories List doesn't load.
Any idea what to do?
Thanks
Natalie
<I wonder if How to copy international shipping in Ninja Lister on http://uk.ebid.net/htv_selling.php might help?>
It most certainly would have helped but I didn't know it existed. I looked through the FAQ and the forum, no doubt saw mention of HTV, but it meant nothing to me.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention - now I know where to look when I need help.
Hi, when I try to import an eBay-listing I keep receiving the message
'This is not a file format we are able to import. Importable file types are :
eBid format
eBay Turbo Lister format'
Any clue what to do???
Did you export in the correct format? See: http://www.ebid.net/forums/showthrea...=1#post1166492
Yep, I did....
Then your best bet is to contact support (http://uk.ebid.net/contact.php) and include the file you are trying to import as an attachment. They can then look at it and, hopefully, spot where the problem is.
Yes, I think I'll do that....
Thanks!
OK, I've sent a message to the helpdesk with a simple example-file....hope they can help me...
Hi Guys,
Sorry to bother you, but I am having a problem with Ninja Lister.
I am new to Ebid and started off using 99.43 and uploaded 48 listings without any problems.
Then I installed 99.45 and now every time I try to upload a listing it fails. This is the email message I get:
Result of Ninja Lister upload
Total Auctions : 2
Success Auctions : 0
Failed Auctions : 2
Western Digital Elements 2.5" 320GB Portable Hard Drive The file type you are using
is not recognised. Please upload in TAB delimited format.
10 The file type you are using is not recognised. Please upload in TAB delimited
format.
The above refers to one listing, but I have tried several different ones with the same result.
I installed 99.46 this morning, but it hasn't made any difference, still get the same error.
I have over 50 listings waiting to be uploaded and more to do and would really appreciate it if you could tell me if it is something I am doing (not doing anything different to the successful uploads in 99.43) or if it is a bug with 99.45/6 that needs to be fixed.
Cheers,
Rob
Checking. Thanks for the info.

I've had a look at the upload and your data is missing many fields, theres no title, category, condition etc .. Can you check to see if all fields are showing correctly when you view the auction in the NL edit form. If possible can you also forward to support your datafile located in userfolder/NinjaLister/data.csv within Windows
Hi, everything is showing on the NL form.
http://members.bordernet.com.au/~dungers/image002.jpg
I can't find anything called data.csv in the NL folder.
There is a .zip file in there that seems to have the info that relates to that listing, would that be it?
The unzipped text is below. I deleted most of my HTML description to save space.
IMHO it just doesn't seem to be parsing properly.
