Re: eBid Ninja Lister & Importing Auctions Help
I can't seem to get Ninja Lister to accept my data files. I'm trying to import my listings from my ecwid/Facebook store as I no longer have anything on eBay.
I downloaded the listings into csv files in 3 different formats: comma, tab and semi-colon delimited files, none of which were accepted by NL. I kept getting the error message "This is not a familiar file format."
So I saved txt versions of those 3 files and tried importing those to NL. Same error message.
I can't find any info anywhere on editing the csv files to make them acceptable to NL so I have no idea what the issue is.
Is this a lost cause? Do I have to add each listing manually to eBid?
Thanks so much for any help.

Re: eBid Ninja Lister & Importing Auctions Help
eBid (and NL) uses tabbed separated value data files. Even then, if importing the values have to be in an order that NL can understand. As far as I am aware currently eBay, Amazon and Etsy exported data files are the only ones NL is coded to understand.
If you download the spreadsheet from you My Bulk Upload area that defines what values and what order NL and eBid expect to find in a raw file.

Thanks so much, I'll do that!

I also have spent a few hours trying to list items....also an escapee from EBay. I keep getting "Authentication error. Please ensure you have the correct security details stored within the Settings area of Ninja Lister." What do I do? Import from EBay has also failed 5 times so I sat and redid them....still no luck.

Re: eBid Ninja Lister & Importing Auctions Help
I am importing Ebay auctions through Turbo lister to Ebid.. Everything comes
out fine except the gallery picture. I have to go through about 5
extra steps then just to get the gallery picture to appear. Any
solution? Thanks, Kat
Problem: I import from Ebay.
Gallery pic does not show up.
Question: Is this the way Ninja lister works?
Is Ninja lister capable of showing a gallery listing on an imported item? Thanks Kat

No, that is not normal.
I note that those listings where the thumbnails do appear the main images are hosted on eBid's servers. Those where the thumbnails do not appear the main images are being hosted on eBay's servers. In the latter case there is some junk at the end of the image URL, as in:
2BNP1+!dL5g~~0_1.JPG?set_id=880000500F
This could be throwing the thumbnail generator and causing the failure to create one.
I have seen this before but cannot recall the cause or the fix (if there was one). I think it may be down to not being able to obtain the image from eBay when the listing is created.
I would advise you submit a support request to eBid admin for help in resolving the issue. They can tell better what is going on during the upload of the imported data.
Re: eBid Ninja Lister & Importing Auctions Help
trying to get some info before I attempt to copy over my listings from Ebay.
I did most of my listings using Auctiva. Will my pictures and descriptions move over to Ebid via Ninja lister?
Anyone using Auctiva attempted this yet ?
Re: eBid Ninja Lister & Importing Auctions Help
Hi,
I'm trying to put items in the "Video & Computer Gaming/Mac" which gives me "13073 > Mac" as the category and get this error: Category ID must be less than 12000!
Thanks,
Rudy
