Re: Time for a Pet pictures thread!
@Madelaine
I have a neighbor that had a one person cat. The cat would do anything for the son but would attack everyone else. I felt bad since this was the first cat they ever had. When it died, they got one more and it was night and day. They finally had a good cat, with personality.
I also had someone drop off 3 cats. One cat was a problem. She attacked all the cats. My nephew finally got a home and I gave him this cat. Worked perfectly. She was a one cat in the house type.
Fletcher is very smart.
He sits and listens as I am talking to him. The pupils of his eyes would dilate at important things. He is a fascinating cat.
He knows the word and the spelling of TREATS. Comes running and then I tell him in the kitchen or the cabinet and he goes there and waits.
The cats that are allowed to go outside knows the word OUTSIDE and they run to the door and they have to touch the door knob before they can go outside.
He does pick on his sister, Dottie

This is the second oldest boy - Blue
He was found down at the neighbor's farm along with a gray tuxedo kitty (Cletus).
Capturing these two kitties took 5 months.
This is Blue at the farm

Blue - a little older

Blue - now a big boy and his markings are fantastic. (He looks like a Siamese Tiger)

Blue had a older partner, maybe 3 months older, Cletus. He was also at this farm and was very feral. He did protect Blue and when I would bring food down to the farm, Cletus would eat and shortly afterwards would call out and Blue would show up.

I only had Cletus for a couple of years. He had chronic cystitis and I couldn't afford the vet bills.

Here are some of my guinea pigs - mostly all youngsters.
Living outdoors on our patio on Vancouver Island - mild summers.
Re: Time for a Pet pictures thread!
Your multicoloured guinea reminds me of a schoolfriend's pet who was called Geraldine. In a French lesson we were describing people and others had to guess who it was. My French teacher's face as I described Geraldine as having black, brown & white hair was a picture. "Elle habite avec Katherine" was enough for the class to identify Geraldine and the French teacher was still none the wiser!!!

@Modgar
Looks like one is a "calico" guinea pig.
Use to go to the County Fair and they had a section of guinea pigs.
There were so many varieties of them.

Re: Time for a Pet pictures thread!
Took a road trip today to a nearby (1 3/4 hours away) animal rescue and picked me up a little treasure. say Hello to "Boy" a miniature Shepard cross. He is 2 years old and really friendly. His back legs are a little gibbled as he had been run over when he was a pup. seems to run ok now though.
Re: Time for a Pet pictures thread!
Oh, he is lovely, Selkab! I so need a dog, but the rescues here are being very strange right now.
