Re: Cocktails!!! and Music
Hi Mooney! Long time no see. Good to hear from you.
Trish - encouraging words for implants, thank you. I know what you mean about dental expenses. My big hurdle is there are 2 bones in my mouth that need reducing for a smooth lower shelf. Cluck, Cluck, Cluck. I will say my dentist did not do any x-rays yet as he said the oral surgeons will do them anyway. I appreciate him saving me some money.
We dedicated a bronze statue to Chris Ledoux on Saturday and the 125th Frontier Days Celebration is dedicated to Chris. I would post a song for you, but I have figured that out yet. My friend Marj has been riding in the parades this week, side saddle, for the first time in her life although she's has ridden astride all her life. We made her a blouse for her costume. The club had a skirt for her and they made her a jacket.
it's been hot here. Cooler today and looks to be cooler yet in days yet to come. Sadie is panting, but I got her brushed and cleaned up a bit today and I think she is more comfortable.

Re: Cocktails!!! and Music
Super happy choon Mooney!
Just served up dinner for us two - we usually have curry on a Saturday, but I fell in love with Mexican food when we lived in Florida, so Mexican it was tonight!
Crispy chicken fajitas, salad, salsa and sour cream. There was enough for 8, I managed one and JR ate two! Very filling. Anyone fancy a couple?
Weather here has been mixed - hot, sunny and humid for a while, then a rain shower, then back to sunshine. Are we having April showers already? Strange weather indeed.
Next week is full of special occasions for us - we have Dominic's and Debbie's birthdays, plus our Ruby wedding anniversary. I'm looking after Adriana Wednesday and Thursday for a few hours, Lucia has hospital appointments.
JR asked me what I would like for a special present for our anniversary - I said a gold medal, I deserve it! Lol!!!
I am in the process of listing yet more soy wax melts. Printing labels, describing and taking photo's of everything is a pain in the derriere, (being polite now!). BUT ;-) needs must!
(As it's such a lovely evening here, I just may abscond and sit in the garden for a while, with a drop of the good stuff!)

Well, well - we have a birthday girl here in the lounge.
Happy birthday Wyo, I hope that you are having a good day.
We have had a lovely time with the family, they all descended upon us for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary on 6th Aug.
We had some lovely cards and pressies, my kitchen looks like a florist's shop!
Weather here is not at all summer-like, very windy and torrential downpours of rain. I'm grateful for the rain though, as it has been hot and dry for a while. The lawns have greened up again, and everything is growing away like crazy (weeds included!)
Be good everyone, keep safe.... erm, Nah! Don't be good, be norty - much more fun! xxxxx
Re: Cocktails!!! and Music
Thanks, Trish and anyone else who happens along a tad bit later. My DS called at 11 and I was late for Buddy and Angel. Buddy wanted to lick my face very badly today. He settled for licking my hand. I brushed Sadie today and did a bit of clipping. I watched a grooming video and decided I could do her tail - short as it is. I will need more practice, but it doesn't look awful. She is profusely shedding, so the weather should be warm for awhile yet. Buddy and Angel get to go camping this week. Buddy who has been scared of his own shadow loves camping. Next step getting him to ride on the 4 wheeler.

Re: Cocktails!!! and Music
Hi everyone,
Just checked in to see if you are behaving yourselves.
You ARE???? ..... now, that's boring - be norty!!!
Well, we are off to Great Yarmouth tomorrow, to meet up with my eldest daughter Tracey and her family.
We haven't been able to see each other for a couple of years, so it will be lovely to hug my girl and and my grandchildren. (and SIL!)
They have travelled from Cornwall - a really long journey on congested motorways, so I guess that they will be a tad travel weary.
They are staying for a week, we are only spending the weekend with them.
Sod's law ... the weather forecast is rubbish - yellow warnings of thunderstorms for the weekend. Every other day is fine.
Ah well, we will make the most of our time together.
Enjoy your weekend everyone, and remember - eat, drink and be merry - live for today, for tomorrow we may be gone.

OMG! (Oh My Gosh). My buddy and I went to a trunk show at the Sewing Center last night! :o They had a famous designer and we saw some lovely quilts and heard some good stories. She is giving 2 days of classes today & Saturday, but they are all day and expensive. We got home just in time to see 2 deputy's cars pull up next door. Another neighbor has reported that the wife had called them about a 3rd neighbor parking his school bus. Which is ridiculous, because 1. There are several (at least 7) cars always parked outside of her property and 2. The bus is not parked on her property! Will see how this develops. As for me I am sick and tired of all the squabbling that is going on. in this town and I want to move out to the farm!! There just isn't a house there.
Thanks for listening - I'll put my soap box away now.
Wrote this earlier today and just found it again, LOL!
Re: Cocktails!!! and Music
Wow! it's been a while since I was here last. Been having trouble with my phone and internet connections. 2 weeks playing with the phone. My keyboard wouldn't work most of this week until today. It is a wifi keyboard, and I finally charged it up overnight and now it is working. I also think I may need a new mouse. At present I am using the bitty mouse I used with my old laptop. Trying to think what I want out of a mouse.
It doesn't look like there has been too many drop ins, so I hope no one has been worried. I was baffled by the computer's behavior for quite a time. Bowling starts 9/08. We have a full team despite having lost one girl (woman). I have an appointment to get a haircut on the 8th. All told this has been one of the roughest August I've had in a long time. Usually Aug. is a good month for me. I guess I was due.
Hope this finds everyone well.
