Hi Hanna and thanks for the welcome. I'm listing the Henri Lloyd items here with some letters blanked out so the name appears as 'H**ri L**yd'. Do you think this would still be copyright infringement?

If you used stars in the name people wouldn't find it in searches then though!
Hi Franky
Welcome to eBid.
I can see your pradicament! I didn't realise until I read this thrread that this could happen. There are so many people out there whether here or t'other side listing designer label clothes that are their own or families cast off - I can't see the problem!
Were you actually told what part of your listing was an infringemnet of copyright?
Surely writing the name wouldn't be would it?
Hi Frank,
A warm welcome to eBid. You can't really see from a sellers feedback how much they've sold as many, many buyers don't leave feedback.
Like has been suggested, best to e-mail eBid and ask them.
Does make you wonder though - lots of peeps have 2nd-hand designer clothing which they can no longer fit into. Does that mean they can't list them anymore? Or does HL only target sellers of new items?
Did you specify in your listing if it was a brand new or used item?
H Frank it might be an Idea to use your Buudy link in the emails you plan to send out...If anyone joins via your buddy link you get free buddy points which if you save enough you can get things from Ebid for Free!
Ps your as bad as Me LOL. I never sell anything on Ebid thats dodgy but on Thiefbay I job lot the ones that come into my hands and list them in discriptions only as R***X, T*G HEU*R, Car*ier etc etc
I never go out of my way to buy such replicas but usually end up with some as they arrive to me in Job lots.
Yeah, I did state that the items were new and the copyright infringement was specifically to do with using the name and nothing else. Very strange considering no other manufacturer has this problem.
Oh and hi Rednosty. I hear what you're saying but the Henri Lloyd jackets I listed were 100% authentic. As I said, it's just they don't like anyone using their name....absurd if you ask me.
