Information about both the consultations was, on the Defra website, in the dog magazines & most of the dog related websites, forums, & facebook pages.
The original consultation was started by the previous government, its results were published in 2010

any thing that effects every one should be published /broadcast at a national level which this clearly was not although the net result has been broadcast nationaly AFTER the law has been put in place
debate as well as result should be treated exactly the same way on what ever subject thats a democractic process which clearly this bill is not sadly this is not a isolated case there are many many laws introduced into this country through private lobbing that we dont even hear about, the only reason this has been highlighted nationaly after the event is because it effects so many people which again proves my argument it should of been publised before the event as well as after
the next step will be micro chipping you !

No Gill, I don't - but a friend of mine got one about 6 months ago. I am a cat lover really - but lost mine in 2005. She was a couple of months short of 20 years old.

except of cause it would appear Rex's original owners did not want "to be re-united with him" otherwise he wouldn't be with us now.... not that I am complaing as I would hate to lose him now

Gill ~ Because I thought it was an interesting and important legislative issue worthy of note to those who do have dogs.

WTG Madelaine!!
Do you have to continue with his "spending" routine.........ie: on command?
It's a bit of a task for them to learn that part, but i'm sure it will be doubly difficult to "unlearn" it after nine years.
Hope all goes well and you have years & years of togetherness!
