Take a reality check:

And another:
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=EBAY (noting 67 BILLION $$$ market capitalisation).
Now engage your brain and consider whether, even using the most canny ways to advertise, how far your ad budget would go, if you were marketing manager for the smaller of those two companies!
Have you ever worked in a small company?
Considering how tiny eBid is as a company, I think it's a remarkable tribute to them that they're in second place to the giant eBay, and have millions of listings.
Hi Johnwash,
Thanks for posting the "reality check" links. :)
I would love to see a modest advertising campaign by eBid just as much as any eBid seller. Am well aware of the massive cost of a fully executed advertising/marketing campaign. However, I do believe there are low cost/no cost strategies available that could increase eBid's visibility and profile across a broad base of its international service range.
Some of the ways could include strategically placed press releases, community magazine advertising (free/low cost), article marketing, selling eBid tape & labels at a profit, joint venture campaigns with other alternative venue sites, approaching companies to sponsor give away promotion (i.e. cars, motorcycles, fine jewelry, cash, etc.).
I have not posted to this thread before, as it seemed futile to go on and on about a decision that is eBid's alone. But that said, I would love to hear from eBid about their advertising/marketing plans.
Re: HOLY thread resurrection Batman
