Re: ✿ Using Twitter to promote your eBid stuff - the basics ✿
Good morning :-)
We are going through this thread and following the people on it.
We are spacemonkeysfx on Twitter and would love it if people would follow us back please.
Thanks to everyone who does follow us.
We could all do with as much exposure as possible eh

I know I posted this on a thread on the KT, but I hope it's OK to post it here as well Kim,
as I think the information is relevant for everyone that uses Twitter to advertise their listings.
A while back I read some interesting tips from Dogs Trust (a UK Charity), on the use of Twitter, which I think equally applies to business use of the medium.

Would you recommend Twitter to other charities? Any useful tips?
Oh yes, absolutely. The only tip that really matters to my mind is to be authentic. Have a name, a personality, and a sense of humour.
Guide the conversation so that you have a comfortable, productive balance of professional posts (links, campaign info etc) and personal moments.
People don’t follow a mailshot, but they do follow a person who also happens to tell them about some important work that’s of interest to them.
You’re in someone’s virtual living room online and you have to treat that as their personal space.

Hi Rosemarie, thanks for following me; just added you! :-)
Re: ✿ Using Twitter to promote your eBid stuff - the basics ✿
Thank you for following us back Burgyeb :-)
Thank you to everyone that has followed us :-).
To those that have found a strange name (spacemonkeysfx) following them.... it's only us and should you feel like following us too, you would be most welcome and we would be most grateful :-)
We are still waiting for our first sale on here.... thank goodness the other places are selling well.!! We will keep adding items until someone finds something they fancy buying or we run out of items to list (that could take a while lol) and will keep tweeting as always.
We don't only tweet what we sell, we tweet randon bits from our day here at Space Monkeys too. Usually hectic, sometimes funny, sometimes mundane but that's just us.
We love our jobs here and hope you enjoy joining us on Twitter and finding out more about us, what we do and what we sell
Thanks again everyone
Rosemarie

If everyone could take a moment to list their twitter name I could be sure I am following all I am SherMari and I do retweet for all who follow me unless your tweet is using profanity.

I use my eBid user name "Burgyeb" and I never tweet profanity. :-)

I swear like a trooper on my personal, social account @bykimbo, but never on the business one @ebidwidgets, and never, of course, when being the Chief Twit for @ydc_fundraising. If I'm going to promote my ebid items outside YDC I do use @bykimbo, but I do so very rarely as I don't like pushy selling on a social accounts.

At least yer honest, therefore qualified to serve as Chief Twit! :D
