Need help with this Silver Hallmark
I'm trying to identify the Hallmark on this Silver powder compact - particularly the year.
Attachment 60288
I've got Turner & Simpson for the maker; Birmingham Assay + the British Lion but the year letter is defeating me - G or O

Answers on a postcard, please :)

I think the maker is Turner & Simpson and the mark is Birmingham but I can't make out the date letter clearly enough from the photo.

The boxed areas of the symbols, to me, are shield shaped - placing it in the early 1900's?

Re: Need help with this Silver Hallmark
Also note:
1938 has angled top corners -
1913 top corners are rounded
Slim O or fat?

then it would not be the fatter O for 1938? It looks to be the slimmer O to me. A sharper focussed image would be such a help! lol!

Will see if I can get a sharper photo of the hallmark.
Thanks for all help so far.
