Mystery of crocodile in man-made lake on Crete
A 6ft crocodile has been spotted in a man-made lake on the Greek island of Crete.
Locals in the seaside town of Rethymno got a first glimpse of the rogue reptile last week but are baffled as to how it got there.
It is thought it may be an abandoned pet.

Wow, it looks lonely there all by itself. :) Does it bother the locals at all I wonder?
This reminds me of the time a few years ago when some students discovered a small croc (or possibly gator, can't tell them apart myself) in a pond on the campus of the community college where I was working. As there aren't many spotted around here it was quite the sight. Not sure what happened, likely someone called the state fish and game people, as it didn't stay long.
Best wishes for many sales to all,

I think the 'gator has a flatter tip to the snout; the croc's is more pointy.
Though locked in the jaws of one I don't think I would be too bothered about knowing which.
Or you could say 'See you later alligator...'. If it looks around to see who you are talking to...then it's a crocodile.
