The first hit on a Yahoo search on "Eristan pottery" is this thread!
hi could you put the back stamp mark up it may help finding maker. can find no name eristan in English pottery only Etruscan ken
All it has on the back is "ERISTAN POTTERY" in gold in a circular mark "PLYMOUTH" is horizontal through that. Underneath it appears to say "22crt Gold" and that is it.
I thought I may have been looking in the wrong places on the internet, but it appears I may have been right in my no joy of finding anything!

Sorry Janners I've had a good look through my books but can find no trace of it. Looks like it might be a company that was only running for a couple of years. Does it look like an old plate or a new plate ? If it's new it might be an import from somewhere. Is Plymouth the pattern design on it or do you think it was made in Plymouth ?
I know the plate is over 40 years old, I think Plymouth is supposed to be the picture on the front.

If it's quite old it might be from one of the lesser known German factories as the Germans produced a lot of tourist ware for the U.K. in the late Victorian early Edwardian era.
