Do you chase people for feedback?
I've had sellers chase me for feedback on another site and I find it really rude. Feedback is left at the buyer's discretion. A seller sent a rather blunt email to me this morning asking for feedback on a computer I collected last week. I was just in and out without wasting his time by seeing it working. The monitor has a burnt pixel and it didn't come with the speakers listed, but I ignored that. He's a nice guy and I plan to leave him positive feedback when I get round to it, but one shouldn't demand it. It's just a transaction to me. Considering you could be negged by an idiot over something out of your control, no feedback can be considered good feedback!
I once ordered a video game and the case was dirty. The disks were scratched but luckily worked. The seller emailed me every day for a week until I left feedback! I've never negged before in my life but he almost asked for it :D Last week, a seller with 50% positive feedback refused to let me collect an item I won because the winning price wasn't enough for him. I haven't negged him either but I wasn't expecting him to honour the transaction due to his previous neg :)
People may have a private reason for not leaving feedback, Demanding it would be like playing Russian Roulette to me :)
Re: Do you chase people for feedback?
I don't agree with hounding for feedback. However, I would be sure to leave feedback when a seller did not honor the contract, as you indicated the person with 50% positive feedback didn't. It's only fair to warn others of such behavior. I have loads of great feed back I have never received.:D
Re: Do you chase people for feedback?
I never ask a buyer for feedback. However, I believe that eBid send out an automatic reminder to send feedback.
I always try to remember to leave feedback for buyers, usually at the same time as I complete despatch details on the ASL.
Re: Do you chase people for feedback?
I don't chase feedback but I do send a message to the buyer letting them know the item has been dispatched and to please leave positive feedback if they are happy once the item has arrived.
I leave feedback once the buyer has (or has messaged) as the transaction is then complete. Been caught out a couple times once I'd left positive feedback but then the buyer has become a ******* (use your imagination.. go on... be creative ;) ) Although I know some people believe that the buyers "part" of the transaction is done once they've paid, I disagree as they are some unscrupulous people out there.

But its not a case of being caught out.
All you have to do is adjust your feedback comments to reflect the current situation. :)

Strange I was just reading your posts on a politics thread from May LOL
My comment was more about another site rather than this one, which has a much better feedback system than elsewhere :)
