Promoting Ebid sites and stores

Hi all, I have been through my Paypal pages , I sell on the 'other' site and have done for 8 years now, but we all know thay do not actually want us and the fee's are now a joke, so to the point, I went and grabbed a load of email addresses to people I sold to on the other site and emailed to say, Many thanks for your recent Ebay purchase, just to let you know' and then told them of Ebid and my store, withing 1 hour I sold an 80.00 jacket to a Ebay customer of mine, and had 'thanks' from many people who did not know of Ebid. I aplogised in the email for the email, promised it would be a one off and not spam, and also thanked them again for their purchase elsewhere, so two birds really and certainly not spamming, if we all could do this then awareness of Ebid would increase so much for all of us, give it a go, what can you lose?.
