Not even sure if it is a wild flower. It's the only one in my garden and the first time it has appeared in 10 years of living here. Approximately 3 foot high.
Any ideas please?

They look like purple hued bell flowers Gill. See the link. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/orn...ellflowers.htm
Thanks Becky. I had a feeling about Campanula but didn't think they grew so tall.
One learns every day no matter what the age. :)
Now for some seeds! :)
I was going to suggest Harebells?

yes, this is me.
- In the Language of Flowers it stands for childhood, grief, humility, and submission.
I submit to all humiliation! :) I was always told, if people are laughing at you then laugh with them. Then they don't laugh at others who are less fortunate than you.
The childhood and grief is mine and mine alone and I always bounce back, although it takes time, as life goes on no matter what. :):):)
I just love flowers, plants and my garden.
Have a good weekend all.

Thanks for the link. This plant turned up in my Seeds for Bees from FoE last year and flowered this year and I was wondering what it was. I also found borage and lavender amongst the seeds so it looks like the bees are going to be happy for years to come because, borage in particular have a habit of self seeding and the others are perennials.
