absolutley agree .it is beyond belief that any sane person would let a child on a 100cc quad bike or anything else on a road or even allowed in private grounds ...whilst my sympathy in this matter is with the parents and the driver of the range rover the parent responsible should be prosecuted..and these kids with these killer so called toys should have them legally destroyed..

They are not legal on public roads and do get taken away and destroyed.
According to the news the woman driving the Range Rover was apparently unfit to drive.
Still dont know what was going through the dads head to let them on the road ...

Hi,
The parents should be charged with manslaughter, undue care and attention, child neglect, whatever it is conceivable to throw at them.
People like this do not deserve to have children.A child is a gift and should be nutured.A child of seven shouldnt be on the public highway alone anyway. They should be playing safely.
Where i live we are surrounded by farmers fields and a country park and there are kids, who arent long out of nappies on quads.Shooting up and down the public highway.
The police try to crack down on it by taking the quads away but the parents just go out an buy another quad.
Until recently i worked in the NHS.The most preventable heart rendering jobs,i ever had was to pick limp dead children off the road, carry them to an ambulance and take them into the mortuary.
God bless the wee soul,
Kind regards,
Michaela.

well it is regardless of the driver of the range rover there is no charge at the present time..so one cant make a judgement ...these bikes can go up to 35-60 mph they are not legal on the roads in fact you need a licence as they are over 39cc and that only transport under 40cc and electric driven are able to be legally driven on the road .i am furious that this happens time and time again this is not the first and wont be the last..companys that sell these things and they do put in there adverts children can ride them albeit on private tracks but what idiot would give a killing machine to a child ....

We've had some of this mini mororbikes being ridden around here by youngsters, completely illegal of course, and parents should have more sense than to by them if there is nowhere for them to be ridden.

i agree fully, but with that in mind a certain couple who lost their daughter should be charged with the same

Hi SCUK,
I certainly agree with that,I cant understand why THEY have not been charged with gross child neglect at the very least.I think they deserve the same punishment as the above mentioned. However i seem to be in a minority so i had better keep my gob shut,as i want to keep my windows intact.I am rather attatched to them!!!!!
Kind regards,
Michaela.

the poor young girl that died was not in a car and being reported might not have saved her life,
the father should have the book thrown at him:mad:
