I read some place that the BBC have bought Season 2 (£400,000 per episode) so that is good news for poor people like me who only have free view. Yes Heroes is great telly and fills that craving during these months while waiting for new Dr Who..... but I am a little worried about the time Paradox problem that may happen with Hiro and his time jumping power, already we know he could not save his "Ideal woman" so whats going to happen to the world....oooops..is NY going to be blasted to bits?..... they already made season 2...! I know I'm going to be watching every one unless the Paradox kicks in and some sinister new character that minght be called Mupert Rurdoch offers more money than you can shake a stick to show it only on his channel...
I had to laugh at Prison Break, I mean with a TV drama called Prison Break they had to end up back in Prison, I'm not sorry to see that one gone, it was stretched a bit too far and during the first season (Like with lost) there were some interviews with "STARS" from the show who mentioned that there could be seasons 3, 4...... who knows if the ratings are high....... Now when I hear that kind of thing I just gotta groan, come on some things just seem to morph from serious drama to soap on a big budget....oh well...
It would have been nice to have a second season of Surface but the masses did'nt think so.... lol I think I am a little bitter about that.

Slinkyri..... I wish I had a job as a critic....mmmmmmm then I could tell every one (who would listern) what I think about Jonathan Ross...###### ######...... ironicaly I would only be able to get away with that sort of foul language in the Independent, funny that....how the red top papers use **** and say Foul mouthed yobs but the up market press say things as they are and no one even blinks....
Yes Dr Who, a Special at Christmas with Kylie Minogue and Series Four, next year then David takes a rest to do some Shakespeare for a year (should be some specials made for 2009) then back for series 5, 2010....

I've heard a lot of good things about this show and thought an online preview looked great (but don't they always - even when the show turns out to be a stinker :)).
Seems like I should check it out - am I too late to pick up the storyline and/or are there any repeats on any of the freeview channels does anyone know?

Dr Who is on repeat at the moment Matt just can't remember which day though you'd need to look it up unless someone on here has that information ;)
*edit* ooops you're probably meaning Heroes :o

:) Thanks Ri - I did mean Heroes, but I am a massive Dr Who (and Torchwood) fan too.
I thought a few of the Dr Who episodes were a bit weak from the last batch - let's hope Kylie can get them back on track this Christmas and then into next year..

Torchwood is on repeats now, from the first one when Gwen comes on the scene.
I'm not sure about Heroes. tonight's episode is a new one, but I thought I read in the telly guide that there was an episode as well that showed when the heroes discovered their powers. That would help you catch up. Maybe it's on the digi channel. check the tv guide!
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Kylie does. K. tate should be cool as well.
I wonder whatever happened to Sara Jane? I thought she was supposed to have a spin off show starting last spring. ;)

I started watching Heroes from the first episode - it is a bit confusing but I love it. The kids have heard me go on about it so much that they had me record it on the catch-up weekend, and they are hooked now. I love Hiro to bits, there is something so childlike about him - I could just adopt him :-)

Well I'm convinced - I'll be able to catch up on any Heroes episodes I've missed one way or another. More of my life wasted but I'm a sucker for a great tv series.
Really enjoyed Torchwood and the more adult themes the broadcast time allowed without it ever going OTT.
I think the 'Sara Jane' spin-off got "put on the back burner" to coin a 'management-speak' phrase. ;)

I am so pleased to finally find a thread about that great show. I supposed I could have started one, but wasn't too sure...
Anyway, I heard of it a few weeks before it started as I was in France. They have seen the all lot already and are awaiting season 2. So as they have to translate everything I thought I missed it. I was so happy when I saw it was starting on the BBC. I knew I would love it as I love X-men and so many of the super heroes of the comic industry...:D

I watched this on a website too, not all the links worked for me, but I was totally blown away! I imported Season 1 through Amazon.com, if you are a member of Amazon UK, you should be able to browse .com as well. It took about 2 weeks to arrive, and obviously is a region 1 DVD. I have watched a few times now and can't wait for season 2 to appear, I know it airs in US on 24th, so here's hoping it won't be too long before we can watch it here.
p.s is Peter the guy in Fergie's video of Big Girls Don't Cry? anyone know?
