Hi All

I've been around Ebid a while but have only just found the forums. Thought I'd pop in and say hello.

Are there any beadaholics here at Ebid? I must admit I have been one for years. Anything beady (as in beads) or jewellery is my thing.

Anyway looking forward to chatting with you all soon. Got to go and do some work now though.

Laura

Looks good.
Works fine.
You're a quick learner. :)

Next question is how do I place a logo on? I've got one with photobucket. I tried but it didn't seem to work. (As usual with me).

Thanks

To save some time, it's easier if you give me a link to the logo and I can check some stuff first. The size in pixels and file size are limited, and that's what causes most people's problems. If you link to it I'll check the details and then we can go from there. :)

Thanks Damian your "Forum Saint" title is definately apt.

I'll PM you the link. Hope that's OK.

A PM's fine.

Don't be fooled by the Forum Saint thing. It's just a title freely awarded to anyone who has posted enough messages in the forums.

Thanks for the thought, though. :)

Now then, back to the signature picture.

The image you have chosen is fine; both pixel size and file size are well within the set limits.

To use it you'll need to go back into the USER CP and use the EDIT SIGNATURE link, the same as before.

If you look a little further down the page you'll see a section offering you the chance to enter the URL to your signature pic. Just use the same one you sent to me. Remember not to repeat the HTTP bit at the front end.

Once that's in there you can PREVIEW SIGNATURE and the forum software will download your image from the link and show it in your sig.

You can then SAVE SIGNATURE and exit.

Got your PM about the Feebay profile. Things are definately more open on this Forum about other sites as some othere places really get funny if you mention anywhere else.

My feebay ID is SMALLWORLD15 same as here. Thought it best to keep it nice and simple so people could find me anywhere.

Can I put the profile link at the bottom of the signature or is that not allowed on here. (I don't want to tread on any toes.)

This is all going to keep me busy for a while setting this all up. I've also been thinking about getting a shop here but this will be in future I think.

Thanks a million yet again.

You can add the Feepay feedback (http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=smallworld15) link to your ALL ABOUT page, but I wouldn't recommend adding it to your sig.

You can add a link to your eBid auctions, eBid All About or shop to your sig with no problems.

You can turn any text into a link (just like I did above here) but you need to be using the right message editor to do it.

In the USER CP choose EDIT OPTIONS and scroll down to MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS. There is a drop down box with three editor choices. I use the FULL WYSIWYG option. Choose that and SAVE CHANGES.

Now, in any message you post you can type your text, highlight it and then click the editor toolbar symbol which looks like a globe with some chain links on it. In the pop up box you can then type in the URL for the link and click OK. When you view the message - either in preview or after posting - the link will be active. This also works for turning pictures into links, too. Just post the picture into your message and follow the steps above as though the picture were text.

The process for getting a sig pic to link is slightly different so I'll leave that for another post.
