I am thinking of investing in a machine that prints any picture on almost anything...The Idea is that I print your photos (IE Children, Wedding, Pet dog! etc) On watch dials (This is availiable on the net at £40 a watch).
But before I invest in a machine capable of doing this I wanted feedback on what you all think....As this machine could also easily print Pens, Pads, Tshirts etc etc etc with YOUR shop name and EBid.net.

Sorry That should be TWO polls should'nt it!

If you have two answers Poll one and List the other please (Yes I know some will like two finger answers to me!) :)

I think its a great idea.

The machines are expensive though.

I would like to save enough money for an engraving machine so that i can do my own goods instead of sending things off to be done or finding suppliers that include cost of engraving in the item. I did look for refubished ones though. You have to do alot of shopping around because some people really do take the P**** with prices.

I say go for it :D

Whilst the idea is great I think you ought to weigh up the cost against the sales you are likely to get , profit you are going to make , running costs , the huge amount of media you would have to stock to give the service ,THE COMPETITION OUT THERE!!!! already doing the same , and are you going to do it away from site as well , if so local competition ,
THINK HARD ON THIS ONE you maybe better off leaving the money in the bank .
That's my opinion offered with out any malice and with only good intentions offered .

Hi,
Can you clarify what you mean by "If I supplied the stuff for printing (for advertising)?" Do you mean if I supplied the pens and you print stuff on them?

Well I've been well and truly led up the path! I was told about a year ago that This certain printer would print on anything and cost about £500 Today I have found out that yes it does do that but you will also need an additional "hot press" Cost.....£2000.........Erm I think thats a no no..Although the Printer will print well enough on Cloth (ie tshirts, Bags etc) that's not what I was wanting... As You can do that with the add of transfers on any home computer.

Actually Nosty thats cheaper than i thought if it was from new. The engraving machine i had my eye on was over £4k and i think you still needed to buy other attachments. Thats why i am shopping around to make deals with local engravers at the moment cause i dont have the odd £4K in me back pocket
*puts hand in pocket to check*
DARN nope just moth balls :D
