Sorry to be a spoil-sport, but I find 'wacky' auctions to be invariably unfunny and a load of $h1te (unless they are solely for charity in which case I'll make an exception).
Anyone who buys someone's used pants, teabags, plastic Tesco carriers, crisp packets, fluff collection from behind the bed, toenail clippings etc...seriously need to consider buying a life first of all

If my memory serves me well (9 times out of 10 it doesn't!:D )
didn't a certain other auction site become a household name through a wacky auction.?:)

In a way that's the point :)
I would like to think we could 'innovate' and not 'imitate' on here.
No disrespect to anyone but I think the "buy my soul", "sell your bumfluff", "bid on my sandwich" wacky idea has already been done to death.
Without trying to be a complete "brown-nose" the idea from NYKMedia of an art exhibition exclusive to eBid is a *much* better idea IMO.
That's not to say there's not better ideas out there. It's just that personally I've not seen them.
Get to work and keep your toe-nail clippings to yourself :) ....

I agree Hypnotoad but this thread is just for fun, well I hope so :D
Good point!
If anyone's got a sense of humour to sell I'll give you a good price for it.
Or I've sculptured a miniature Venus de Milo out of my earwax if anyone wants to trade instead ;)

I will certainly agree with that point,Hypno.
In another forum I once referred to feebay as having the "Hoover" factor. (People class vacuum cleaners synonomously with hoovers & online auctions with feebay)
I said that ebid would be the "Dyson" of auction sites.:D

Well theres the Old saying.......There's nowt as queer as Folk.
Crisp packets! Thing is We take it for granted...But you can bet your life Somewhere in the WORLD someone collects something you throw away everyday.....A collector of Merlins example will see the GB crisps as a great find as He Collects USA crisp packets...Its like stamps...If you collect them you tend to Go for your own Countries stamps So sell the others countries for pittance BUT if sold in the Country of Origin then they will fetch a good price! (Think I've made my Point)
Socks with Holes In.....
(There is a shop somewhere in London that sells ODD socks!)

Well I'm mature enough to admit when I've made a mistake and I'm always looking to improve sales on here too.
As a result I'm currently working my way through a jumbo variety bag of Monster Munch. When I've finished I'll be offering the crisp packets as a job lot together with the Kwik Save carrier bag I carried them home in.
So all our friends from across the pond, get you bidding fingers at the ready. It's your lucky day....;)
