Beckham Back For England
Updated: 13:05, Saturday May 26, 2007
David Beckham has been named in the England squad to face Brazil and Estonia.
Manager Steve McClaren recalled the former captain, who has been out of favour since last year's World Cup.

Beckham - who is leaving Real Madrid to play in America - could now feature in next Friday's friendly against Brazil at Wembley and the vital Euro 2008 qualifier in Estonia on June 6.
He has produced a series of superb performances for Real over the past few weeks which helped earn his recall.
The news represents an amazing about-turn in fortune for the 32-year-old, who believed he would remain stuck on 94 caps.
McClaren said: "David was absolutely delighted as I knew he would be.
"He deserves to be here. We've got a very big game in Estonia coming up that we have to win and I've got to pick a squad capable of doing that. That's why I've picked David.
"Winning away at international level is very difficult anywhere and we need as much experience as we can get."

Ermmm They we're going nowhere with him before......And As for McClaren!! All I can say to that is.....Phurrrrrrrtttt
I don't think he's anywhere near a good enough Manager.
I was NOT one of the people clammering for him.......What happened was that the Old fuddies at the FA got Pressured by the media into making a decision after they Cocked up big time with that Brazillian Geezer....So we end up with Crap...So WHEN (not if) We fail to qualify for the Euro Cup (And its a **** easy group!!!) WHo do we go for?? I dont know, But I certainly don't mind a Foreign Manager for England.

just drop lampard.. without him and a free gerrard we have won every game.. Just need someone brave to take the decision. Or else will be usual we qualify but win nothing.. 1/4 final once more..

Hmmmmmm you would say that. God forbid dropping the almighty gerrard, who is in consistent to say the least!
You cant just drop lampard, he has had a much better season than gerro this year!

dream on.. drop gerrard.. shesh whom you been listening to everton fans.. england won when lamps was injured.. He plays because he is bad midfield player but he brings in the goals..
Doesnt do much but he can score goals.. So thast why he is great at chelsea.. but for england he freezes in front of goal.. so there is no point playing him..
Drop gerrard..indeed.. I know its your philosophy to keep your best players on the bench :D but its not good for england :p

yeah lamps score a hat trick against faroe islands and luxemborg.. shesh even i can score against those teams.. when it matters lamps freezes.. no wonder he was dropped last game.. injured wrist.. yeah right..
No ones place should be secure.. you play well you stay.. but chelsea/man utd players are guaranteed no matter what..

Im not saying any player should be secure.
But i disagree with your drop lamps attitude.
Yes i agree they should get played based on there form. Have thought that rooney shouldn't take his place for granted. He hasn't played well for england in ages. Other players from the smaller teams that dont play in all the cups deserve a shot.
