Don't know what the regional TV differences are, but we have, 'The Wizard of Oz' because, because, because, because... umm... we're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz (can't remember the words!) :D

You're probably going to see him because of the wonderful things he does.
Why not ask him to show a Bond movie?

I'm still looking for one that says...
'though shalt not promote anything on eBid, even eBid, unless you are selling it on eBid and, even if you are selling it on eBid, you can't sell it for free'
or something along those lines LOL The length of time it is taking to find said law, I missed the Wizard of Oz :D

The burning of the chicken was, thankfully, averted. But sadly, he is no longer available for comment
Ebid isn't perfect, but it's fun. I'm away to start a new thread after deleting my old one in a fit of fury :D

As I was a chef for >20 years, I feel I have to pass on my wisdom to all those burning chicken.
I too had roast chicken this evening.
The timing goes as follows -
Put chicken in self-basting roasting tin, put neck & gizzards in small pot and cover with stock made from last chicken carcass, cut carrots into batons.
Put chicken into moderately hot oven, bring gizzards up to simmer, put stuffing into pyrex dish and mix with boiling water.
Go to pub for a pint (or two if it's a large chicken).
Come back home, put stuffing into oven, cut potatoes & put in steamer with carrot batons.
Have a glass of wine.
Cut broccoli into florets, add these to steamer, remove neck & gizzards from pot, season and add thickening agent if needed.
Have another glass of wine.
Remove chicken from oven, put potatoes & veg into serving bowls and top up wine glass.
Carve chicken, serve and eat washed down with a bit more wine.
Perfect roast chicken every time :D

Well done, you!! Now, the only ingredient you missed out was the 3 hour stint on eBid... at which point do I add that? :D

You do that after you've drunk a few more glasses of wine
it makes the whole experience slightly bearable
