Hi there - I make lots of beaded jewellery, with my daughters - they got me started.

We're thinking about selling beads and kits on here - not sure whether its worth the listing time, though, cos although I know its free to list, my time's not free! And we've tried selling a few diff things on here and nowt's ever sold...

:(

Still - we may do - so watch this space!

:)

What do you make?

I'm thinking of taking up lampworking, but, that's next year, and i love the look of enamelling too,
As for forums you've hit the best here, look in to the kitchen table there's always something going on, loads a juicy gossip, competitions and quizzes and we even have a great charity auction every month,

best wishes

Wow! You MAKE beads?

Now that's one I hadn't thought of - do you sell them, or are they just for fun for your own use?

best - tompkins

Hi,
I make and sell jewellery , you can find me dotted around Leicestershire and Derbyshire at various craft events.
I am an avid collector of beads, charms and chains and sell my surplus stock on here.
A little pic of my style of work ( if it works I'm a better beader than a pc wizz)

I got into beading when a good friend gave me a kit for my birthday and never considered myself creative at all before this, now my life, house and spare time are taken over by beads .

hiya kayla,

soon as I have completed a few custom orders this week, I will definatly be buying some of your lovely glass beads. I got snowed under with orders at my last fair ( not that i'm complaining, lol) so no rest for me this week.

Well done becky that's a positive result for you. I think it will probably pick up on here soon enough as people seem to be leaving the darkside in droves and a lot of them are joining ebid .The good thing is that sellers are also buyers, i no longer want to buy from eb*y as i begrudge them having such a bit cut of my hard earned cash instead of the seller.:)

Im new to e-bid and I became interested in making jewellery about 2 years ago. Ive tried selling them on "the other one" but only sold 2 out of 20 listed! Too much choice I think. I have much better luck at boot sales. Didnt have any luck here either but if at first etc.......... At least it only costs peanuts on here (and seems to have a better class of members). Anyway, Im now trying beaded flowers and gave a posy to my sister for her birthday, she almost cried when I told her Id made them. Ive just bought some items from Ooh prettys site and look forward to getting them.
Happy beading!

hiya sashacat
firstly thank you for your order
ebid is a lovely friendly place, always somebody ready to help should you need it.
Do you seed bead the flowers or sew/wire them onto a sieve base?I've tried seedbeading but found it to fiddly , my eyes ached after a while..so I do admire anybody who does it.
I think all jewellery makers have their own unique way of adapting designs and this is what makes us all so individual, I love doing a craft fair and seeing other jewellery makers designs.
There are so many different things I would like to try, ...pmc , altered art, perspex moulding and silversmithing....one day !

Hi fellow beaders! ;-)

I'm new to eBid and have just set up some auctions for my 3D beaded charms.
I've been making them for the past few months now and they got quite popular with family/friends so I decided to try selling on the web.

I really love beading and find it very relaxing. I'm a student and beading definitely helps to break up study periods and takes my mind off anything stressful!

I look forward to getting to know other beaders on here.

hiya and welcome Laura ,
and coeee to you as well sleepyweasle , I don't think our paths have crossed before.
You both have some lovely designs. I have to agree 95% of the time beading is relaxing ( the other 5% is sheer frustration time, lol) ,it has took over my life ,home and bank account..

like the blurb in my shop says
"beading can cause empty purse syndrome"
