I think I know what Ken means fairywishes, it's probably the problem of the site taking ages to load in.

eBid's getting a lot of traffic and that helps to slow the site down. G&M must be putting all there efforts into the actual auction site, which they have stated, is their priority!

The problem could be the actual eBid forums, which is extremely slow caused by traffic, every large file photo we upload to the forums, banners and the amount of posts we er, post all have a major pull on the sites user bandwidth/cpu/RAM ;)

What is needed are more servers/hosts/bandwidth/cpu/RAM to cope with all this traffic, etc., but servers can cost thousands too.

A cheaper way to do this would be to "prune" all the old threads (the cost? nothing!), posts, etc. thus freeing up a lot of unused space, maybe there should be a capping on the amount of posts/threads peeps should have until the eBid forums can load in more quickly or until the forums have been improved for more traffic!

Mind you, after saying that lot the eBid auction site could do with a lot of freeing up too, just look at the amount of stores that are not being used on eBid, just lying around taking up valuable space. Then there are users whom have stopped selling/buying or posting, all "dead" users could be deleted and thus, freeing up even more space.

Do we really need stores anyway? why not just a link to our auctions? 'cos everything I sell in my store is what I have in my auctions :confused:

Large pics ? Well, i can only speak for myself JM

I reduce all of my pics to a SMALL size before uploading to auction.

AND ... The pics i put on the forums are doing no harm at all to ebid, as i link usualy to my own site, photobucket or elsewhere so if indeed it is pulling on the forums bandwith , i find that hard to believe, it contradicts the fact that people say that HOTLINKING causes their sites probs.
