I grow carrots, but I never cook them. They never make it from the garden to the dinner plate. They get pulled up and eaten straight away. Tomatoes, and peppers don't often make it indoors either. They taste much better straight off the plant. Add a few sugarsnap peas, runner beans off the vine, and salad leaves, and that's a healthy lunch on the hoof. I think it's called grazing.

Hmm. Some things never change. I still grow carrots and eat them raw, and now I have company, as my 4 year old grand daughter only likes raw veg too.

Red, I've said it before, I'm dragonmist, not a dragon. The avatar of the batty dragon with a yo-yo was a protest, because my original avatar of a fire breathing dragon wreathed in mist was too large after one of the updates on here. Making it smaller stopped the flame from working. I still use her on another forum with no problems. I keep meaning to replace old batty, but haven't seenan avatar I liked that had a dragon and mist.
The raw rabbit food started because I would be busy in the greenhouse or polytunnel at lunchtime, and I didn't have time to stop and go and make and eat lunch, so I just grabbed anything edible to shut the stomach growling up. I should be potting up 144 plug plants which arrived this morning. However the shuttle trays have not arrived. S*d's Law.
