As we did five years ago, and as we do today, we stand in solidarity with those ordinary people whose lives have been permanently transformed by violence.

I remember that day like it was yesterday,
I just sat and cried while I was watching the events unfold before my eyes.
Just cannot believe it was 5 years ago.

It certainly doesn't seem like it was 5 years ago ...
I had just received an email joke where the mom was feeding her baby and saying open wide here comes an aeroplane and the baby was staring over her shoulder watching an aeroplane fly towards the window - a few hours later the first plane flew into one of the towers.

:(I was at Butlins when it happened. I was sat in the skyline pavilion having a coffee one morning and couldn't believe it when I opened the newspaper and saw it on almost every page. Kind of put a downer on the rest of the holiday. :(
