I'd love to get a dog, it would be nice to take it with me when I go out with my camera or when I take my grandson out for walks (and my granddaughter when she's older). But, Our working hours are so weird and forever changing that it would be very unfair on the dog. If my hours ever become stable though I'll definitely get one.

Now my 5 year old is bugging me for a puppy, like I don't have enough with 4 kids, 2 cats, a guinea-pig and a boyfriend... lol

mine are my best friends, would'nt be without them, had 2 dogs who died within 2 days of each other (had them for 12 and 13 years) wos so upset that I vowed never to get another dog.

Lasted about 3 weeks and missed the company soooo much I had to go and get one, then I felt so sorry for him being alone with no friend (when we were not around) I just had to get another on :D

I hope you get the chance one day Frank, it's a wonderful experience IMO! I get so much enjoyment from Holly I'm sure Bramble will add to the fun or mischief in her case.......

Mines poorly at the moment, 18 months old and loosing weight, she's had a blood test, I get the results Thursday, vet thinks it may be inflammation of the pancreas.
Mind you she's enjoying the medication, I have to wrap the antibiotic in a slice of ham. ;)

It's been about 20 years since I last had a dog, sheba she was called, she died of heart failure when she was 12 years old

It would be great having a dog around here, there's nothing but farmland, moors, woods, canal's/rivers, and reservoirs, a brilliant place for a dog. Mind you you gotta be carefull where you let them run free because if one of the farmers thinks that the dog is worrying their livestock then they shoot it without giving it a second thought, it's the day trippers fault because they think it's funny to see their dog running in and out of the sheep and scattering them or to see the dog running around chasing the horses up and down the field. They don't think it's so funny when they hear a shotgun go off and see their dog hit the ground. Some folk just don't use their brains when they're out.

oh Honeyant - hope she's OK :( We used to have to crush up my dogs tablets into tiny bits and then stuff them inside a sausage otherwise the little sod would eat everything AROUND the tablet and spit it back out :rolleyes:
