I think I give up. I cannot seem to sell a thing on ebid unless I put it on tyhe happy hour.
I think I am going to go back to FEEPAY. Ebid has only ever cost me money.
I put a brand new PS2/PSone THRUSTMASTER 'FERRARI' CHALLENGE RACING WHEEL on the happy hour the other day, and it only went for £3.50. I nearly died of shock. On ebay I would have gone to at least £60. And its worth that.
Ebid is going to end up costing me more that FEEPAY ever did.:(

Over the past two weeks I have put indentical items on here and on fee pay. I have sold two on here at the starting price on fee pay I have sold over 20 and mostly above the starting price. In addition I went to look at an item being advertised on the happy hour on here tonight and someone has made a very unwise move at admin Of listing google ads on the description at the side advertising the same product for less. I have looked at my selling items and there are googleads on them offering the same items from competitors. This is the final straw. This time last year a lot more was sold and as it is christmas you think sales would rocket well they have not. items on the front page are going for peanuts whereas on feepay a decent price is being reached. Sorry folks even though I like you all at the end of the day we are all here to sell.

Looks like ebid might be losing two sellers then.
Nobody wants to give you even a half good price for things on this site. I am never going to make a single penny selling on here. So I think its back to feepay.

I had a two week spell where I was selling every day and did really well, then this week everything seems to have come to a stand still. I tend to only get sales using the 60 min auctions anyway but I've spent £5 this last week and nothing has sold!
What's happening?????
I did revert back to feepay and usually sell everything I list and as mentioned earlier generally at a higher price than my asking price. But it's come at a cost and for the last 3 weeks my fees have come to £60....... (FEEPAY INDEED!):(

What you`ve gotta do is...........sit down, get the calculator out, work out your profit, not the amount of money you`ve taken, work out how many hours it took to list, pack, stand in urine-aroma`d postie....and then work out........was it worth it ?? Thats for any auction site .

I dont even bother listing here anymore the attitude of the webmasters when people tell them what they want seems to be that they know best - so screw 'em thats my feeling. (wonder how much online selling they do, not much I bet, since they just dont seem to get even the most basic fundementals to my mind)
meantime I've never been busier over there, its absolutely mental - I wish it was blinking christmas every day - at this time of the year I sell more in ONE DAY than i did in a WHOLE YEAR here. (and thats the truth)
I tried here, sure i did and i hang around in case it ever picks up, (or they change their silly listing rules) but to be honest it looks less likely each time i visit...

fpmsl they probably all skeletons now sitting by pc with cobwebs drooping off em ,
ebid is too interested in cracking the usa etc. to even bother about the uk side of auctions and anyone who puts google ads next to auctions are running a pathetic business , they were told all along by many on here to get the uk site up and running with advertising etc. but has usual they turned deaf, stupidity costs money learning to run befiore you can walk is impossible
cor aint i sounding diplomatic these days i knew g.w.tush would teach me summat

I'm new to Ebid today and must admit I was a little concerned about how many things are on here with zero bids ??.
Thought it might just be a system glitch but obviously not. I'll hang in for a while and see what happens.

Hi & welcome to ebid.
Don't let that put you off as many sales here are done via buy it now. That's why you don't see many bids.

speaking as someone who has "hung in there" I have never been as busy as I have been recently I would say possibly by about 75% as opposed to this time last year.
It is true most of the sales on Ebid are done by using the Buy Now facility as that gives the buyer more buddy points.

A good indication is to look at people's feedback and see what proportion is as a seller (filter it on the feedback page) - look at SlinkyRi's for example, her FB is clocking up constantly! As is sexywolfy's...
Mine's a bit slower, but I only have about 100 items listed at a time (even less at the mo cos loads ended a few days ago and I haven't had the time to relist...)
