Take a look at the above. Ebid in the past have had other sizzix shapes for sale by sellers. They are used for card making, scrapbooking or in fact any form of art and craft projects. They come in various shapes. There is a machine that cuts the shapes out, but can be expensive. I do not own one, but have bought sizzix shapes from sellers or even craft shops. They are widely available.
Dare I say....Look on the other site to see other types and shapes available.

But what's the difference between Sizzix shapes and just cutting out shapes (as in decoupage or the like)???
I read something about layering - is that the secret?
Just curious as I am well into crafts and anything new is fun for me!
(Although I hate card making!)

Sizzix are die cut shapes - not cut out with scissors. Unless you are going to use tons of them(or sell them), then it makes more sense to buy them.

I bought a sizzix sidekick machine (the little one) and it's great fun making the shapes for xmas cards. I normally paint them too.
Is there a big demand for the pre-cut shapes?

There is a reasonable demand for them. You could always list a few..

Other makers of similar machines include Accucut and QuicKutz
Each manufacturer has different cutting die designs and a slightly different general aim at the market - it helps to find the one that supplies the type of dies that interest you, then buy the machine and dies ..... otherwise, like someone said, just buy the die-cuts from someone selling them
hint .....
pimp (?) ........
Watch my auctions later this summer ;) as I stock up for autumn and the Christmas sales season.
