aaaaww I didn't know she had been either although I saw her swear the other day and it's like Big Bro this forum innit with all the buttons and stuff.

Sad http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_6.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxmk148YYUS) but explains now to me why she didn't come back on to tell me why she wanted my dad's name that night I asked everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

I'll email her and thank her anyway.

miserable now http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_52.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxmk148YYUS)

Ok so let me get this right ... if we swear we will get banned? So what happened to the word censor then? The one that auto-replaced swear-words with something ridiculous like !sausages! rofl.

sheesh, we knew how to get round the censor sure enough, but thats all part of the fun.

We have our censor set up to replace swear words with fruits :D so you can imagine how much fun it is trying ot work out what a figs blackberry watermelon is :p

hehehe we also throw in a few red herring swear words .... anyone caught typing washing gets it replaced with DRINKING GIN .... being a forum mostly made up of women we do a lot of that! Oh, and CLUBBIN ... which is actually ironing http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v521/MrsCheeks/ROFLMAO.gif

Come on guys ... dont ban for being colourful with our use of languae ... just get creative with it instead :D

I thought the reasoning behind not allowing prolific (sp?) swearing is that children might see it. Where I live tyhe children are a little better adjusted and can swear without repetition so I don't see the point.

Better watch my back in future then for the large finger of the law :)
Maybe instead of saying d**khe*d we can say penis-cranium. ???

Minky,as read can only be first offence on new forum surely. But of course the forum would be empty if the letter of the law was upheld.Without predudice one would assume it had to be reported first by someone.Of course the word "baiting"comes to mind.My point being,no one is compelled to read the forums,as is as mentioned by Davina....please do not swooir...

the boys have been around a lot more lately, perhaps they are looking to impose their rules more strictly than before?

i have no idea, just making suggestions.

best bet is for the people involved to get in touch with ebid support, or if they are unable, perhaps get someone to email on their behalf

who knows

Just seen this....

If they are going to be stricter then the rules should apply to everyone otherwise it's going to create a lot of bad feelings by those who feel singled out.

I personally agree with a crackdown on aggressive language or behaviour in the forums, but only if it applies to everyone.

I think part of the problem is that only those who are reported by other members are banned, this can give the impression that those banned are being singled out by G&M when in reality they are not because G&M are simply responding to reports of abuse or whatever. The only way around it would be to appoint a moderator to keep an eye on all post's, something which I don't think many people want.
